cotto hasn't fought anyone as gifted as zab.

imo cotto is a good young fighter, but this fight will be decided by zab. if zab comes in prepared new and deciplen. zab will show his far better then the nuthead he has been displaying lately and that will be in the expense of cotto.
Zab will be better than people memories are allowing. Cotto is stepping up here, its a pick 'em fight.

    My official prediction.

    Cotto by tko.

    4th round or sooner.

Zab is fast and has SOME power. Nothing like he gets credit for. Cotto is just too damn strong right now. He has been breaking people's bones. Cheek bones, collar bones, ribs, he is gonna land, and Zab isn't durable. Good fight, it will be exciting...... but Zab is gonna catch one to the body and not want to get up....

I hope the Zab that fought Floyd shows up.
I want to see Cotto get tested big time.
Regardless of what version of Zab we get, once Zab tastes Cotto's power, this will change Zab's weak mind set. I also hope that Cotto tastes some of Zab's power on the chin. I want to see how Cotto's soft chin holds up. I do however want to see some better defense from Cotto. I know I am asking for a lot here.
Again like many of you have stated earlier anything can happen in this fight.
    May the best man win.

Cotto's team has gone on record by saying that they have been training Cotto for slicksters like Zab for a very long time and that gives me the confidence of a Cotto victory.

yea it is a pick 'em fight, great fight for both fighters to take.

this is a real step up for cotto

and this is another chance for zab, zab really needs to capitalize on this chance it could be his last chance.

i really don't want to see cottos undefeated record get stop by zab, but then again i want zab to reach his potential even if most says its too late.

so it sure is a pick em fight.

i agree with ya boxingGod. it's a pick em for me aswell.
zab will have to box all night and use his speed to stay out of cotto's way cos cotto could batter him if he catches him. risky fight for cotto but its about time he steped up with the elite's. and dangerous for zab cos cotto's so powerful and looking so good at the moment.

Baldomir & Julio I can see those fights being good for Cotto.

He was highly regarded (some people say over hyped, we all know how that talk goes) hes lost only once...... Cotto beat Quintana who beat Julio, why not go after him and also remove the 2 out of your way. He only has 1 loss hes on the upside (meaning hes won after the loss).

Unlike Tzsyu, Cotto will NOT knockout Judah in the 2nd round.

In the end, however........ Judah will wish he had.

Looking at the record on boxrec didnt Rivera have Julio in trouble and drop him in the last round losing controvertially? This is the same Rivera who was beat by the guy Cotto is fighting in 3 rounds..why would Cotto fight Julio

LMFAO you got that right !!! hell , Zab's still got a guy named Pito Cardona to fight.. shit , Pito can crack, all this talk about Cotto is null and void until we see what happens with the Cardona fight. when you got a chin and a false ego like Zab has, everyone you fight is going to gun for it , and everyone is dangerous as hell , because once they know your weakness, the opponent gets stronger mentally and physically ! both in preparation for the match , as well as the match itself !

Thanks for slapping me back to reality....
Zab still has to get past Cardona.....
We'll see how that goes, is that fight gonna be televised?
