According to Zab Judah the fight is a done deal, Madison Square Garden June 9th. I'm baffled by this, how the heck has Zab pulled this one?

Presuming he doesn't overlook Cordona I guess
I'm a bit suprised by Zab though, I mean coming off back to back losses you would think he'd go after a couple easy paydays and work his way back to a title before going after Cotto.
Another tough fight for Zab.
oh no!!!!! Zab got a bigger fight signed behind this one!!! lol so I guess that means Zab is gonna lose on ESPN right![]()
Dont mess this up zab!!!!
A tough fight for cotto as well Bilbo

I like the match up, good work by Zab's promo, they got him right back in the saddle and this one should pull a lot of fans in and do big numbers at MSG, it'll be Brooklynites vs the New Yoricuns! I think Puerto Rico will be the happiest on the night though.

Yes definitely but with losses to Tyszu, Spinks, Baldimor and Mayweather from his last 10 opponents you'd think Zab would want to get a financial cushion with a few easy fights before he risks becoming the next Fernando Vargas especially seeing as he is said to be short of money.Originally Posted by Puya

I don't know man!!!
For the most part I/m thinking WHY in the HELL is Cotto wasting his time with Zab hes a nobody and beating him means nothing.
I won't be surprised cause I know Cotto can beat him with flying colors.....
Bad decision IMO from team Cotto thats IF this is true....
Well style makes fights for a boxer to win or to lose Judah style is very akward for Cotto IMO
When Cotto beats Zab that will be his entry key to elite level. For what I watched in the video I posted above you can tell it's going to be a great fight.

a HUGE step backwards IMO.....
And to be honest Zab to me is slowly becoming Tyson (post-Holyfield I) in the sense that people are willing to see him fight and see if he can get his hands on the titles again and or win.... Cause you know he has a chance at wining but you also know he can loose.
You wanna know something funny?
BoxRec has Cotto vs. Williams .....

I wouldn't call Zab a nobody, he definitely has talent but his record in big fights is pretty poor, 1 win 3 losses not counting Baldimor.Originally Posted by CutMeMicK
You'd have to have him as the underdog against Cotto albiet in my opinion a live one.
But if he loses, whats left for him? A trilogy with Cory Spinks?
Spinks doesn't even make the televised undercard on Showtime!
I guess after this fight Cotto can look for either Paul Williams, Antonio Margarito or Shane Mosley. Too bad Floyd is retiring because I really wanted to see Cotto vs Mayweather Jr.Originally Posted by CutMeMicK
Maybe Floyd comes out of retirement due to pressure or need to prove himself what ever and fight Cottowho will still be young and waiting.
Since Margo is fighting Williams , PBf fighting Oscar, Mosly is an option but you know how GBP and Top Rank are a bunch of whining bitches who else is there to fight?Originally Posted by CutMeMicK
