Re: Who Impressed you More?? Kessler or Andrade???
I was impressed by Kessler's follow through on his game plan but more what really impressed me was Andrade's resiliense and determination. As anyone would tell you Kelssler fought a smart fight, he kept moving and hitting his targets, and simply he was too fast and moved to much for Andrade to adjust. I'd like to see more of Kessler, especially I'd like to see him take on a fighter that can fight well on the inside, or someone that can follow him. In regards to that fight I gotta say that you only lok as good as your opponent allows.
Andrade has really shown his metal that night and I'd like to see him in more fights and him getting another title shot.
Some of the punches that I saw Andrade get hit with made me cringe, but I was taken back on the way that Andrade took them and kept coming forward.
Andrade is the "Mexican Lamotta". He can take what ever anybody can dish out and keep coming at em.
After the fight he seemed fine, just a little tired from the looks of it but that's it. He also held himself fine. I think during the course of the fight one of HBO's commentators mentioned that Andrade lost nearly all of his amateur bouts, then when he became pro he went undefeated until his run in with Kessler. They said his manager told him that if he wanted to be a champ he'd have to act like one, and Saturday night like any of his others he came in the ring and out of it with the demeanor of a champion.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.
