I've seen drills like that done before. One demo I seen on a video showed how just the right movements in the (shoulder, hip, knees/feet) are put together, at prior to this time the arm is already extended. It was terrific! this wasn't a wall that the guy was demonstrating on, it was a bodybuilder in a solid stance. This has very similar biomechanics of Bruce Lee's 1-Inch-Punch as demonstrated himself.
