good man, i had the same problem exactly.. except i got mine from missing wild hooks.. eventually effected both shoulders.. didnt check it out and became recurring and im now waiting for physio..
Hasnt stopped me but definately good to be careful, keep the shots strait while i been healing and try make sure it doesnt keep happening so the muscles and joints heal

Seeing as this post was bumped from 1 & 1/2 years ago, I'm going to go out on a limb and make the assumption his injury has since healed.![]()

Yea, these are the sorts of injuries that worry me...as in, I fear getting. Anything that could end up being reoccuring.
I've never been hurt in or round the ring, but have had my worst and likely most dangerous injuries on my BMX. Not long ago, was riding home...pumping full speed going around a corner and my chain snapped. Sent me ass over tea kettle, and hands first into the pavement. Thought I broke my wrist. Didn't, but jammed it up pretty good and was useless for a little bit as far as hitting a bag or sparring.
Dislocations, as I understand, are quite likely to pose future and recurring problems, stretching or worse yet tearing ligaments or tendons.

From experience, I know that shoulder dislocation can lead to your ligaments becoming stretched or loosened. If that happens that you might experience repeat happenings of this injury. Ultimately I had surgery to tighten the ligaments, and have not had a recurrence of the injury in over 25 years.
