Not having a dig, but people are fickle and it's hard to tell what they'll say after the event.

All I know is this; Hatton is excellent and Cotto is excellent. Anybody who beats either of them will get bucketloads of respect regardless of how they win. Would either of these two improve Mayweather's legacy? Undoubtedly yes. If Baldomir and Judah are good wins for Mayweather, explain how either of these two fights are not worth him taking if he already believes he can win them?

Floyd believes that he can beat Cory Spinks...so does that mean he has to fight him?

What about Cotto's last 3 fights was there not to like?

Made his exit from 140. Beat undefeated Paulie Malignaggi who no one else was able to hit in the past.
Cotto broke this boy up in 4 and in the process broke his left hand in the 5th.
Still won and Malignaggi looked like he had been in a car accident when the fight was over.

No one had ever touched this kid up.

Moved up to 147 and destroyed undefeated Carlos Quintana in 5.

Beat Urkal from pole to pole and suffered a cut in the process.
Endured the cut and the head butts and the Urkal Corner threw in the towel in 11th.
Was sick going into this fight and spent 10 days in the hospital.

You can say what you want about Hatton but don't talk about Cotto's performances because then you are just talking out the side of your neck and you are sounding kinda dumb in the process.

He beat Paulie...who is paulie?he was undefeated but thats not saying much these days.example Allan green beat Jaidon and Ravelo who both were undefeated...and then Allan ran into Miranda.
Cotto got rocked in the 9th round...he looked sloppy...and his so called "body punches" did nothing.What was impressive about that fightMalignaggi's face?Look at Gatti's face after the Floyd fight?Dont try to hype Malignaggi b/c he was overrated.

He didnt beat Urkal pole to pole.He thought he was gonna knock him out with body shots and it didnt happen.This was his whole game plan.Him being "sick" is just an excuse.FYI Urkals corner threw in the towel because they thought that the ref wasnt being fair....NOT because of Cotto's punches.

If you didn't see the Quintana fight, should you really be saying look at the last 3 fights? Because that was his best opponent and he looked VERY impressive beating him down. His "so called body punches" had Quintana bleeding from the mouth.

And yeah Cotto has got rocked a couple times, name me one fighter who hasn't? Floyd has been rocked, against Corley too. The fact is, he's picked himself up off the mat and won.

Honestly the whole thing is though, be honest, you truly believe that a win over Cotto, Hatton or Margarito does nothing? If you truly feel that way but I think that's just your way of defending Floyd to those who said he ducked them (which is something I don't believe in) but if he was fighting him next, I bet anything you would be defending Floyd's choice in opponents
