If Oscar has the mentally of the greats of the past he would hear the bell for round one and go to work and use aggression. Tuck his chin in and throw punches until the bell sounds. It takes two to tango, but Floyd is considerable smaller than Oscar and Oscar should not let him dictate anything. That is why I mention guys in the 80s. They used these disadvantages to great advantage and did not let a smaller guy do something he shouldn't be doing. Hearns made Duran reach and then countered him and stopped him after using his size for 2 rounds. Oscar cannot beat Floyd like Hearns did Duran since Hearns had a right hand and Oscar doesn't have a right hand, so Oscar has to force the fight to get Floyd to reach in and get countered with the left, which could happen if Oscar's jab lands but I doubt Floyd is that gullible to be caught just because Oscar's jab is landing the first few rounds.. I have been looking at tapes of Floyd and Oscar and comparing Floyd to Gatti and Oscar to Gatti in trying to see how they match up sizewise. And Oscar is alot bigger than Floyd, more than I thought initially. The last 3 days I have tried to study styles and everything else.. And Floyd has short arms and he sort of leans back when he fights in a defensive posture and a long right would work well against him, but Oscar does not have a long right to land unless he has worked on it..But Oscar does have long arms and does have a jab.. My point? Oscar has a significant size advantage over Floyd and Floyd even for a welterweight is small. We will see. The size is a big factor and Oscar could do what the guys in the 80s did and make it a war and see what happens. I do know that Oscar makes himself the size of the guys he fights even if they are shorter and he bends way down since his defense is ducking under the punches, but with Floyd the right hand will come fast. Oscar might be forced into a fight anyway.. Oscar has to come out fighting. I do think that if Oscar is getting nailed by FLoyd I am not sure he takes a beating. He might find a way out like he did with Hopkins. But probably Floyd will win a decision because Oscar will not go to war in round one.
