Ricardo Lopez never lost as an amateur nor did he lose as a pro. He had one draw and that was when Lopez was 34,35 and against a guy that is still fighting at a world class level. That irst fight wa the worst of Lopez's career, and I saw at least a dozen before that one and have since acquired tapes of 7 or 8 more. He fought Sorjaturong, who tkod Chiquita Gonzalez and kod himin 2 rounds.
Chavez was considered among the top 3 p4p, if not the best, for years and all along he said that, wts being equal, Lopez would've kod him. The only clean punch I recall Lopez taking was the right by Alvarez that floored him, and he absolutely destroyed over a dozen southpaws, 7 in title defenses. He could fight inside or stick andmove and he had ko power in every punch.
For my $ the best fighter in the last 30, 40 years.
