Taylor is a BIG Middleweight surely this would be a step to far for PBF

Don't get me wrong I think Taylor is average, but Floyd could not hurt him imo, and 6 rounds of feeling a true Middleweights power would wear Floyd down, sap his speed etc.

I like Floyd but Floyd better not fight Taylor at 160. People think Taylor would be an easy fight because Taylor is still suffering from fatigue and technique problems, but this would be a little too much for Floyd. Taylor is the exact type of fight that would cause Floyd all types of problems. Taylor is a very accurate puncher (look how much he landed against Winky, more than anyone I've seen). Taylor is very, very active and Taylor never abandons his jab. Never. Taylor is WAY too big for Floyd. I'm sold on Floyd's chin now but I don't see how Floyd beat JT at 160. This isn't a knock on Floyd but it's just out of his range.

This is a good thread with alot of people making some very good points. However, I'd like to see Floyd finish off his career at welterweight. In my opinion that has the most intriguing matchups for him and the most stars in it. Not to mention that he's in the drivers seat. Another reason I'd like to see him back there is that by some chance he loses to one of these guys (Cotto, Margarito, Williams) I don't want to hear any excuses about how he wasn't at his best weight. Please go back to ww pbf.

You mean that Dynamite Money Jab that got him his fight with Hopkins, that same Jab that he dosent use anymore

Taylor is mediocre at best, he's like Zab Judah to the effect that he is a front runner but fades down the stretch, lets face it Hopkins was for the taken, even then B-Hop gave him fits and could have easily won one of those fights.... Taylor couldnt impose that Supermiddleweight frame on Winky Wright who is a natural Welterweight...

Taylor is a counterpunchers dream, since he wastes punches and has a real poor selection, expends to much energy in the process. Couple that with a leaky defense.... Having those wrinkles are alright if you are prospect, but not the Middleweight Champ of the world.. I maintain my pick that Spinks will upset Taylor by being slick and using his speed and experience... Its just a matter of time that Taylor gets exposed, he better Mature fast. Manny Steward dosent even seem to be a force in his corner, since he dosent follow instructions
These are probably some of the most ludicrous points you have ever posted!!

If Hopkins "was for the taken" how did he manage to jump TWO weight divisions and make it look easy whoopin the shite outa the no.1 Light Heavyweight Antonio Tarver?

Could of.. would of.. should of... but didn't!! You don't make any sense? Because the Great Bernard Hopkins "could of" beat Taylor but didn't that some how shows that lil'Floyd can?

When exactly did Winky Wright campaign at Welterweight? oh thats right NEVER!! he started at Light Middleweight and has moved up 1 division after 17 years in the game. Winky is possibly top 3 p4p is it any wonder Taylor couldn't push him around.

Well I could be wrong but I think you'd be hard pressed to find any better counter punchers in the game than Hopkins and Wright. That leaky defense was really a counter punchers dream the nights Taylor faced them.

I agree Spinks is slick and in my opinion very underrated but as competitive as he looks in this fight the winner is a forgone conclusion.

honestly, i don't want pbf to go 160 and fight some oldie and rusty fighters like trinidad and the likes and then after that he will reiterate calling himself one of the greatest, it's embarrassing. if he wants to fight at 160 go fight the best, hungrier, on his prime and truly worthy one in that division like JT. what? a mismatch but going to 160 is his own decision and he wants to prove a point that he can handle weight problems right? if he wants to wonder in that division he have to fight the best in that division or else he better off stay to where the division he could really flourish and fight all the best available. going 160 and up is useless if you are fighting oldies, out of their prime and rusty boxers unless your goal is once again "greed for money". and we all know that's what it is for pbf.

JT and Winky really piss me off. JT is fighting small guys, Winky's fighting old guys, these guys really should just give us a rematch. That was a great fight.

You know what Hairdoo, I notice you like o take shots at me cause your one of the Biggest Mayweather haters around.... But thats cool

Yea Hopkins was for the taking... Besides Tito who was a legitimate threat to Hopkins over the past few years and a man at 39-40 yrs of age?? His punch out put has been extremely anemic over the past few years... Shame on Hopkins for not getting his ass in gear sooner in those fights with Taylor, cause Taylor is a fader and always does

TARVER HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! Please lets review the fight, Tarver tentative throws pawing punches, Hopkins puts his head down and throws straight right, ties up Tarver and rabbit punces him in the clinch.. .Wash, rinse and repeat for 12rounds...Have you looked at punch stats for that fight ? Scarce real scarce, Typical Hopkins fight for the last few years... I like Hopkins but him beating Milk dud was no major exhibition, historically maybe but again Beating Overhyped 1 hit wonder Tarver again is no major exhibition

Oh Yea, Maybe I got my Winky weight fact wrong... But Taylor couldnt impose his size and strenght over Winky, if you remember Taylor was the one backing into corners all night getting tagged... And yea Taylor got his azz hit early and often all nite in his fight with Winky..

Sry for the added effort and attitude in dissecting your post earlier mate normally I wouldn't but I honestly had the shiats on at work.

As far as me hating on Floyd goes I agree I have spent to much time lately debating against his god given ability considering I do recognise his position above the pack. I guess I just feel ripped off as a fan because I can see that ability but I think he has intelligently avoided the biggest threats all the while building a very transperant legacy and milking the sport for all its worth. Thats his proffession and really he is going about it in the best possible way to secure his financial and physical preservation, good luck to him.

ok Tarver.. I don't like the guy period, but I don't ignore his pedigree he is no bum there was a reason Roy avoided him so long. Hopkins is excellent at beating lefty's and I think Tarver took the old man too lightly.

I must admit I was surprised that Winky was forcing the fight so much against Taylor.

At the end of the day I feel Floyd would be way out of his depth moving to 160. I don't remember the last time he fought a young, hungry, active champion with power in both hands since Lightweight let alone Middleweight. But then again I thought Oscar still had enough left to beat lil'Floyd.

ok the missus has finally finished breast feedin so I' am going back to bed, its 3am damnn!!
