2012, anyone believe this bs?

Supposedly the world is gonna end in roughly 5 years because a mayan calender was discovered and it only lasted up til 2012. I like many others believe this is just a numbering system phobia like when some people thought 2000 was gonna bring the downfall to the world because its an even number to us. It's stupid to believe that the world would react as a result of years we mark off because we invented numbers, the world didn't invent them for us.

I've heard several explanations on what it might be but anyone think its significant?

Its all bs just don't worry about it we have had millions of this bs stuff its nothing new.
