Default "Scrap" is a Class Act

    Hi guys,

I know we've had enough posts telling each other we're great for posting (XXXX) however many times we have posted yadda yadda yadda, but to be honest with each of you I think we can only be grateful for the contribution put in by our own "scrap" who seems to know a damn sight more than everyone on this board about just about everything.

Even if his posts are only a sentence or two, they're still always insightful, and I'd appreciate your sentiments on this topic. C

    Cheers Folks,

Ditto - Scraps always very helpful even though he's obviously very busy - sometimes he logs off - obviously going to bed and logs back on again before I've finished work (in southern hemisphere) - not getting a lot of sleep I gather and still spending time with us

I find that a few good trainers make fine use of analogies to explain certain things. Needless to say is that Scrap is one of those guys that's been in the business of explaining boxing for years. Where as others need a page to explain something, Scrap more often that not needs only one line so that we are to either dismiss it right then and there or think it through and find a lot of the answers for ourselves.

We also have a good share of Scrapisms, much are like an elusive obvious, some cut straight to the point, while others just give us a small glimps so that we may begin to see the bigger picture ourselves. Now I understand why good trainers strive to make their fighters think that they come up with the answers all on their own. In the end it sticks better and we end up learning a lot more than otherwise if we were told the answers from the get-go.

I don't have to say that Scrap is very inventive. He has found many simple solutions when it comes to boxing, much of these solutions he has been generous enough to share with the rest of is. It's been a surprise for me to think that he's able to spend as much time here since he is also very commited to his own fighters and to Mrs. Scrap as well.

I've enjoyed reading much of his posts because of his charisma, sense of humor and his apparent passion towards boxing.

Pun intended, Scrap puts the "trainer" into "Ask the Trainer." I hope you stay around Scrap I too have some questions that I have been meaning to ask that are right up your alley.
