Mexican style is the long and stretchy kind.

I use tape so I don't have to make as much passes around my palm when I wrap my hands. As I've said before it's important that when it comes to handwraps that I can make a nice tight fist. Too much wraps over my palms prevents me in doing so. Basically I just fold it a few times over my knuckles for a good cushion and I tape it down so it doesn't get undone before I wrap in between my fingers. I saw this done at another gym and I stuck with it ever since. Wrapping in between the fingers keeps it from moving and gives a little support to the whole thing.
