Just because you cannot get it to work does not mean it's a "sloppy copy and paste job". Nearly everyone else who has used it has managed to make it work,and the links work fine,may be you should try reading it properly,following the instructions carefully before you start labelling it "sloppy".
it didn't work for me mate either and i went through the intrustions the exact way you labelled them
