Just wondering what your definition of overated is as it relates to Vitali?Why because he only has 34 knockouts in 35 wins?His two fights that were loses ocured only because of injury in both cases he was ahead on the cards over Byrd and Lewis.He has knocked out guys that had never been stopped before.He is technically sound and has a great chin.
Maybe because the WBC named the guy Champion Emiritus after he made one defence of his title and retired. At the mo, he's treated like the second coming of Tyson, and while he's a great fighter, he's not as good as his younger bro IMO.
He didn't have much choice in retiring due to an injury.The WBC rules state it clear as day, he wasn't given anything.
