But Williams is a much more daunting proposition than Coralles.

For a start Corrales absolutely towered over Floyd and he's only 5 ft 11, Williams is 6 ft 2 and the size difference would look as great as Valuev against Monte Barrett.

Floyd is offically 5 ft 8 but he's the smallest 5 ft 8 man I've ever seen he looks tiny in the ring no matter who he's fight, I'd be suprised if he's taller than 5 ft 7.

So you have a natural superfeatherweight going up against a natural middleweight.

If you've noticed Floyd's wins are getting harder since he moved up. Baldomir he refused to engage at all, Judah was a tough fight especially early and Oscar could have beaten Floyd had he only utilised his jab.

Williams is not on Floyd's level but he's also not a real welterweight, he's a middleweight who somehow manages to make that weight.

Also unlike Corrales he doesn't wait to throw his punches. Corrales stalked Floyd without throwing, Williams will do nothing but throw.

It's not an unwinnable fight for Floyd but it's sure a much more daunting proposition than Corrales.

Height aside Williams is nothing like Corrales whatesover so a comparison can't even be made.
You hit the nail on the head. Corrales was not throwing nothing. Corrales nothing but a brawler. He could not box and he was not very fast.

All Williams has to do is pump that jab and stay on the outside and he can beat Floyd in his sleep.

Like you said, Williams does not wait to let his hands go.

There is also the fact that after that fight with Mayweather, Corrales was going to do Prison time for beating on his old lady. Going to prison was weighing very heavy on his Chico's mind. This is not an excuse, it's a fact. Corrales was not even in that fight. He was already doing time in his head.
