Default <Robert Wuhl - Assume The Position > (Comedy on HBO)

I was watching this a while ago, pretty funny stuff really.

He talks about History and ties it in with Pop Culture......

Not a big fan of Wuhl, but I gotta say he put this together very cleaverly. It got my attention and I sat through the whole thing.

Anyone else seen this on HBO?
I tried looking for it on the net to post a video or link but got no results...

(Lyle have you seen it? It's gonna be playing on HBO if your interested you could look up for upcoming times)

After several years of stand-up comedy, he had various film and TV roles in movies including The Hollywood Knights, Cobb, Good Morning, Vietnam, Batman, and Bull Durham. He wrote two episodes of the TV series Police Squad! in 1982, and did an audio commentary for its release on DVD in 2006.

In 1992 he appeared in The Bodyguard as host of the Oscars. In reality he won two Emmy Awards for co-writing the Academy Awards in 1990 & 1991 with Billy Crystal. From 1996-2002 he wrote and starred in the HBO series Arli$$ as the title character. In 2005, he was a player in the Game Show Network's Poker Royale series, a competition between pros and comedians. In 2006, he starred on HBO in a one-man-show called, Assume the Position with Mr. Wuhl where he taught a history class to show how history is created and propagated in a similar fashion to pop culture.

He appeared in the second chapter entitled Assume the Position 201 With Mr. Wuhl, that debuted on HBO in July 2007

a simple "he's a comedian" would've sufficed, but now that i indeed know who he is, here's a cc.

you should try to catch mitch hedburg (or something like that) on hbo. His style's alittle wierd since he doesn't really look at the crowd that much but it was definitely funny.

Demetri martin has a very similar style but mitch's voice and delivery make it great.

Yeah I've seen it....I like Robert Wuhl, he's a funny guy and he's not biased.

The show on now is the second in his series or whatever you want to call it. Both are very good shows and Wuhl does a great job of getting his points across....don't know if it would qualify as 'teaching' per say but he involves his class and has some very good ideas.

I would like to hear him talk about Al Gore and other crazy people who lost presidential bids and never recovered
