Besides, even when he was 100% mobile he was throwing INT after INT and fumbling that ball every chance he got. It's tuff to excel once you've trashed your knees.

You do realize that if the season peyton got mvp (04 i think) he didn't have those stats, it would've went to culpepper? They're not trashed, he just wasn't fully healed last season. Carson palmer had a very similar injury and he's still fine. It just took culpepper longer to heal because 1. hes over 30 and 2. they rushed him back. He won't be 100% but he will get very close and would probably be a quality starter for atleast half the teams around the league. You're gonna tell me he's less of a gamble than trent green? Even if he won't be able to scramble anymore, he'll be a poor man's manning (can't run worth a damn but has a very strong arm and some pretty good accuracy).
