I've been coming up with my own ideas when working with the footwork. One ways that I have found effective w/ a computer opponent is to make them follow me in almost a circle around the ring. It depends on the angle of you and your opponent which prevents them from really cutting off the ring. It's great for my lightweight because he has the full agility upgrades from his costume, max agility stats, smooth as his basestyle and with my strategy I can stay away from an opponent for rounds on end just counterpunching and breaking them down with my judge jab.
