This all stems from your dislike of a sport. It's ok if you don't like a sport or even don't respect it, but that doesn't mean that it is a sport.
Then explain what makes a sport and what doesn't. Draw the line between hobby and sport.
When a competitive element is present an an organised structure of competition is introduced with official governing bodies and a
codified series of rules and regulations.

By that definition poker and competitive video gaming as well as eating is a sport. They have all those aspects.
Yes but I don't have a problem with that. Anything that people choose to compete against each other competitively is a sport in my opinion.
Yes I agree that I associate sports with a physical element and so things such as chess may not be sports in the strictest sense but I still appreciate the skill required to take part competitively and so consider it to be as worthy a pursuit as any other sport.
People should just do what they love to do, one mans' meat is another man's poison.
