Ali was a complete fighter while Marciano certainly wasn't.

Ali dances to a convincing win.

In what way was Marciano not a complete fighter? And further more how was Ali more of a complete fighter, attributes aside of course.

I always thought Ali would piss it. Years ago I got hold of the film of the Fantasy fight and was shocked at how big Marcianos top half was in comparison to Ali. Now I know it was staged but I was impressed with Rockys movement and smarts and he was reading Ali qiute easily walking him down, Again I know it was staged but what I saw shocked me, now Im not sure which way for real it would have gone.

I'd rather flip a coin on this one. I think Rocky is a smarter fighter than people give him credit. He knew how to feint and set up his punches. He wasn't just a slugger.

Ali would dance around Marciano all night landing jabs and right crosses at will. Rocky was too short, Ali too tall and fast.

Rocky never faced a guy with the footwork and handspeed of Ali, while an after-prime Ali beat bigger and stronger fighters in Foreman and Frazier. Not taking anything away from the only undefeated champ, he had heart but he also never fought Ali.

If we're talking an 'in their prime' fight then call me crazy but I'd pick Ali.

Well in this scenario, Ali's reach was so superior that Marciano would be a great distance away while being jabbed

Ali's weak body? Am i missing something here? Ali got up from one of the greatest left hooks landed in Heavyweight history from Frazier, he absorbed thunderous punches from Foreman, withstood the power from hard hitters in Cooper and Liston, on what basis do you make this statement?
Ali V Marciano is a great contrast in style, but Ali would win a UD no doubt!

I agree Frazier hammered Ali to the body and it didn't slow Ali down at all Ali was something else when taking pushiment he seem to soak it up somehow i don't quite know how as for Cooper well he was big hitter but he would be classed at Lightheavyweight now.

Frazier didn't hit as hard as Marciano, or Shavers. He did throw a lot of punches and had great stamina. Hard to believe he was diabetic, he was reminded of it after every big fight.

Well im not sure about that Marciano would be Lightheavyweight by today's standards and Frazier hit like a truck maybe your right but im not so sure.
