I have a hard time believing this is trure. Why would it come up now so close to one of his biggest fights. Also Shane father is his trainer and I doubt he would let that fly as a father nevermind a trainer considering the damage it can cause and the lack of benifits for a boxer especially at Shanes weight. I wont believe this till they can prove it without doubt which they wont cause they never do.

You can get the same iffect with Alka Seltzer no new thing, and thats legal could give you a Heart attack though.

Mosley did take a banned substance before the 2nd DeLaHoya fight and addmitted it during the testemony a couple years ago, But he was told it was legal performance enhancers with no banned substances by his stregnth coach. He took a lie detector test and passed. That should have been the end of it. Mosley has even said that they could have even potentally cost him the fight cause they screwed up his performance. The guy is sincere and should be left alone.

I always suspected Mosley was doped for that fight though.
He looked huge at 154, like it was a natural weight for him - and he visibly hurt DLH to the body in the later rounds. As the fight went on he got stronger and stronger.
Always thought there was something suspect about that one...
"I take good care of my people. I like to inflict permanent psychological damage."
Mosley has never denied it either. He came clean and was honest, but it was nothing more than a mistake and i doubt he touched anything after that one time.Originally Posted by Greig

Just in case no-one believes it,he admits to taking it. I have 2 problems with this:
1.) this statement-"I didn't know anything about that stuff," Mosley said. "It was something given to me, pushed up on me. I'm a health freak-type of guy. I like to have everything organic, natural." That's the biggest contradiction I've seen. How can a self admitted health freak not be aware of what he has taken/forced upon him?
2.) Just because it's Shane Mosley,an admittedly nice guy, people are saying,"oh it doesn't matter etc etc" BS. Imagine,if this was Mayweather or Judah. Both are asses but imagine of they had taken these drugs,"unkowningly". We know for a FACT that people on this forum would be ripping them to shreds. And that's a fact. I'm not one for double standards but nice guy or not,Mosley has gotten away with this too lightly.
I don't know man,he's admitted it himself so NO ONE can edeny he took them. His nice guy image is still genuine but I'm not letting it blind my thinking on the situation. I take back what I said about the timing,it's not as if it's something new,it's been an on going investigation.
I didn't think he won the second ODH fight anyway, but since he just admitted to taking it before the fight shouldn't the decision be reversed?

Once again Gamo your comments are right on the money. Mosley has admitted he took steroids (supposedly unknowingly) and it should matter to boxing fans because that should change how he looked against Oscar and who knows who else. This brings up many questions: Is Shane not as fast as he has shown in the past? Is Shane really that strong? Does Shane really have great stamina as he has shown in the past?Originally Posted by El Gamo
Since Mosley is not a jerk like Bonds and McGuire, most people will surely forgive him (I still think the guy has class and respect for others). In fact, I hope his fight with Cotto goes on as scheduled. But his confession should change how fans view him as a boxer, not so much as a person (though cheaters are hard to respect in general).
CC bro, glad someone seees it the same way. I definitely see it as a big deal. SSM= super nice does not mean SSM= should be let off for cheating. Like I said,if it was one of the less popular fighters, they would be getting torn to shreds.Originally Posted by Rican

Some of the opinions towards doping seem frankly backward, while every other sport seems to be makin a concerted effort to rid themselves of dopers, boxing seems to have stood still and the fans just dont seem to care *cough* Toney *cough*.

Until they have solid proof they should shut the fuck up. Every media asshole wants to be Elliot Ness and snag another evil dooer, and its just getting rediculous.

You can't have more proof than Mosley admitting to the FEDS that he took steroids without knowing what he was taking.Originally Posted by Beanflicker
