The guy simply needs an a$$ kicking. Once he gets one, I will be off his case. All his talking, ducking and smirks just rub me the wrong way. Do i respect his talent? Yes I do. I just do not like him. I said in another thread a while back that I do like Jab Judah and he is as arrogant as they come, but he does it in a way that you can tell he himself does not even take himself seriously. why hate on Floyd in the ring the guys unbelievably talented and so versitile he can adapt to any style. Outside of the ring he knows how to sell a fight, hes arrogant, cocky and disrespectful but it brings in the PPV and sells tickets. He appeals to the guys from the street because hes acting out the role of a thug but at the same time he appeals to the public as they want to see him get his jaw shut and humbled. At the end of the day Floyd is a cleaver guy he's got people talking either positivly or negativly about him there still gonna get the fight. Hell i even condon the fact that he says he could whoop SRL, who wants to see a guy whom is P4P no 1 have no confindence in his ability + more people hate him so more ticket sales. I mean come on the guy was kicking some a** down at 130 and he wasnt getting on PPV so he had to do something to generate interest so they guy acted like an a** and guess hat hes on PPV every fight. You gotta do what you gotta do to get to the top and the guy outside of boxing seems decent enough he helps out with the kids in his home town and does his bit for charity cut the guy some slack its the way boxing is run that you should be hating on not a guys who's just playing the game the best he can.

There is no questioning his skill. But just being brash and a loud mouth for the sake of being JUST that, is pointless. Sure, Ali was a talker...but the man stood for something (whether you agree with his beliefs or not) and he created DRAMA in his fights. Floyd is a defensive fighter. That's fine. But he shouldn't sell himself and a fight as being more than that if he cannot deliver. That will sell tickets...but lack of drama loses fans. We can go into a long debate/discussion about his resume or whether he has been involved in "exciting" fights...but as it stands right now...20 years from now...will most people look back and truly remember any of his fights (MAYBE the Oscar fight)? You think of Ali...immediately you can think of so many memorable moments/fights. Same with a Leonard, Hearns, Duran...and in recent years Barrera, Morales, Pac...even Oscar! But whether it's his style, era, opponents, etc...Floyd has yet to provide lasting memories IMO. Is that completely his fault...probably not. Whitaker always said he would rather hit than be hit. So i never expect Floyd to thrill us with the warrior mentality of so many other fighters. I always appreciate his skill, but there are so many other fighters in recent years that have provided me with better memories.
