The 1st fight Pac dominated Barrera, 2nd fight Barrera boxed cautious and he was doing pretty good through first 9 rounds, but he faded and Pacquiao won clearly in the later rounds. The 2nd fight alot of people didn't enjoy it, im not sure it would be your taste i didn't think it was a bad fight but i don't think you would enjoy it.
ice don't forget to tell him about the 11th round. Iam a huge pac fan but i was screaming at the screen "one more time marco!!!!!!!!" some may remember marco's last fight as a dissapointment but i won't. at the family party while watching pac and marco's rematch they have me on video screaming at marco to pull it off

Remember Ice i changed my pick and said mab would win? but i guess it is time to call it quits he was a hella of a fighter, boxing will truely miss fighters like him.

Good but over-rated. Sort of a third tier elite fighter. Not a phenom like Floyd and Roy. Not quite on the level of Tito and Oscar. The problem with him is there's no point in time where you can look at him and say "that's when he was a monster". He looked like a beast at 122 but then he got smoked by Jones. He looked like a future all-time top 10 at 126, then he got smoked by Pac. He pretty much got beat up by Marquez and Pac at 130.

It's not a case of looking like a fucking monster at any stage of your career. He fought with pride and courage and never stopped at anything and as a result gave us some of the best bouts ever fought. As far as his losses go.......great fighters get beat by great fighters, he has never lost to a sub standard fighter. Your post is a bit confusing.

It's not a case of looking like a F****** monster at any stage of your career. I don't know if I'd call him "sub-standard", but Jones wasn't an elite fighter. The question was "How good was MAB?", so him fighting with "pride and courage" means nothing. All fighters fight with pride and courage, because they're fighters. He was an elite fighter. Arguably a great fighter. But when you look at his actual career, it falls short of where people usually seem to place him.

    years ago the p4p ranking was like this;

    roy jones
    bernard hopkins
    marco antonio barrera

that was the top three p4p fighters at the time.

Marco was no doubt the better p4p fighter while our current top two p4p were still making their way up.

He was never better than PBF. And how was he better than Pac? He deserved to be rated higher because he was more established but he obviously wasn't better.

This is one of those un-needed questions, his career speaks for itself...

His losses came from guys who are all going to the HOF...he always showed courage in the ring...one of the greatest all time trilogy's....He can retire now as at ATG without question....It takes a rare breed of fighter that when looking on his career there is no need to question if or should I say how will he be looked upon in 20 years....Barrera is one of those fighters

WTF are you talking about? He said that when MAB was top 3 p4p he was clearly better than the current top 2 were at that time, the top 2 being PBF and Pac. He lost his top 3 status when Pac demolished him so he wasn't better than him. MAB was top 3 when he was at 126. Do you think he could've moved up to 130 and beat PBF? I don't.

Are you sincearly trying to say that Pacquiao is a more gifted over all fighter then Barrera was at his peak?.....Lets be honest here...I like Pacquiao as much as the next guy but he is not a great boxer...he is strong,,has a great chin and sets a fast pace that allows him to dictate the tempo of the fight in his favor......Over all though his boxing skills themselves are not great...Barrera is/was a great boxer who could fight when need be...Pacquiao is just a guy who can fight his a** off...there is a difference.....take away either his chin or his power and all you have is another fighter....he was blessed with the combination of these things....But even these can not help him against a master boxer...

EG- JMM Manny got the 3 knockdowns in the first and all he could manage was a draw?...why is that?...he is ranked higher then JMM P4P.....I'll tell you why...he was outboxed during the rest of the fight and his power and chin were taken away as factors for him....Same goes for the 1st Morales fight...he was outboxed....

Do not confuse Fighter with Boxer

He beat the everloving shit out of him in his prime. And they're the same size. There's no debate as to who's better between them. None.

WTF am I even responding to this?

yOU GUYS are picking shots, I meant at that TIME!!!!!! marco was a better p4p fighter then pac and floyd BECUASE pac and floyd was still on their way up to the top.

Floyd was a lightweight i believe at the time marco was top 3 p4p, and pac was at the 122 division. Remember Pacs first fight at 126 was marco? Floyd wasn't the great p4p king who he is now at that time, he showed a lot of talent and speed but Floyd had to wait til bhop and roy jones to lose til he broke into the top 2. Pac helped floyd by getting marco out of the way.

Daxx i gotta disagree, pac is not just a great fighter cuase of his power. your well respected around here, i can't believe you would say that. His not just gonna be another fighter without his power. Pac has a lot more going for him, his speed his stamina and his movements. His not a boxer like mab, but he can box. Didn't he just outbox mab better then jmm did? He uses his straight left more so as a mis-direction shot like how bhop or floyd would throw a straight left then step to the side. Pac doesn't use his straight left just as a follow up to a double jab anymore, like how he use to take guys out. He still and prolly always will get into a brawl and let it all hang out, which would make him look out of balance and wild at times, but pac can dominate in the center of the ring when he doesn't brawl. his done a lot its just people remembering the excitment of the brawl that makes them forget the other things pac can do. And thats why he is p4p second to only floyd money mayweather jr.
