Guzman isn't a big money fight but at least Pac would get more credit for beating him from the hard core fans. For whatever that's worth, at least its worth something legacy wise.
The question is are there any real big money opponents for Pac after the JMM fight from 130-135? Is Juan Diaz one? I'm not sure of that really, and Juan Diaz is way too much of a risk for less than big big money.
That's what's been hounding the pac's camp lately - the big money fights. They weren't even sure about Marquez - though many boxing fans wanted this fight, they were a bit concerned as Marquez, unlike Erik and Marco, reportedly doesn't have a strong fan base. The Golden Boy had to really sweeten the deal to convince pac's camp to accept the fight. The lack of big money fight was probably the reason behind pac's plan to move up in weight and think something foolish like fighting Diaz, or moving up further and going after Hatton, Mayweather, and the craziest of them all, Oscar. I'd rather have pac fight Marquez, Valero, Guzman and clean-up the whole super-featherweight division and retire honorably, than getting beaten up just for the money... But honestly if I were in his shoes - between millions and honor? - I'll go for the million.
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.
