Default Valero: I have to fight Pacquiao!

KO King seeking superfight in United States

"I want to be considered the best, so I'll have to fight Manny Pacquiao whom they claim to be the best," said unbeaten WBA super featherweight champion Edwin Valero (23-0, 23 KOs) after demolishing Zaid Zavaleta over three brutal rounds on Saturday night in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico. "Tonight was one of my best fights and I want to be recognized as one of the best in the world." Valero remains on medical suspension in the U.S. for an irregularity seen on a 2004 MRI, preventing him from getting lucrative Las Vegas superfights against the likes of Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez and Joan Guzman. "I'm a world champion and I want to go to the United States to prove that I'm the best," he continued. "Tonight I proved it and and I want to meet any world champion or challenger in the United States given the opportunity.

Valero would get crushed IMO but its good to see he is eager to step up.

he does need to step his quality of oppenents up. If he wants pac, his going to need to move up at 135 and im sure valero would have no problem moving up. I think Jmm is going to be pacs last fight at 130, if Pac vs valero is ever going to happen I think it'll be at 135.

I wonder if Valero would still want to fight Pacquiao after Pac loses to Marquez?

This would be an interesting fight to say the least.
Let's hope Oscar can pull some strings and get Valero's boxing license reinstated here in the United States. Does any one else see this fight happening in other Country? Valero was not cleared by a Doctor in the US but he was cleared by a Doctor in Argentina. Valero should get a second opinion here in the US. It wont hurt to try. Just add a little gold dust to that visit and he's in. Come on Oscar! MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Actually pac is going to finish off jmm this time around, and the question should be....will valero still want to fight pac when pac introduce him to elite class with pac's fist

Actually Pacquiao isn't going to luckily catch Marquez cold this time around, and Marquez will out box Pacquiao like he did the first time.

Thats what i was thinking, if they really had faith in valero being a big star they should have done so already and gotten him into big fights.

knocking some down 3 times isn't luck. outbox pac? he barely survive and technically jmm lost that fight. come on ICE aren't you one of the technical guys around here? we will just see once again v.d predicts another pac fight wrong

It'll be funny cause pac is going in to this fight more focus then ever, his going to finish off jmm NO DOUBT. play with him, outbox him for a while then send him to retirement with his little purse

Funny I saw the same thread on the other site but with a different title: 'Valero knocks out another cab driver and calls out Pac!'

I'm not even sure why Pac would fight him?

Is it a big money fight, doesn't seem like it. And after Pac blitzes him people that don't like Pac will just say he beat a guy with nothing but a big punch, a guy who looks like he's self taught.

Guzman isn't a big money fight but at least Pac would get more credit for beating him from the hard core fans. For whatever that's worth, at least its worth something legacy wise.

The question is are there any real big money opponents for Pac after the JMM fight from 130-135? Is Juan Diaz one? I'm not sure of that really, and Juan Diaz is way too much of a risk for less than big big money.

Lucky to catch him cold i mean, Marquez won most of the rounds had it not been for that first round. It would of been an easy win for Marquez points wise. I personally had Marquez winning so even if Judge would of scored the 1st round 10-6 it wouldn't have changed my opinion at all, 115-110, 115-111 were terrible scores anyway and well off.

If you think that more fool you then, Marquez will be just as fired up as Pacquiao, remember Marquez has been chasing a fight with Pacquiao for awhile so he obviously is very hungry. Marquez will not get caught cold like he did the first time he will be cautious, then after about the 4th round he will feel comfortable and warmed up then he will out box Pacquiao and win UD.

That's what's been hounding the pac's camp lately - the big money fights. They weren't even sure about Marquez - though many boxing fans wanted this fight, they were a bit concerned as Marquez, unlike Erik and Marco, reportedly doesn't have a strong fan base. The Golden Boy had to really sweeten the deal to convince pac's camp to accept the fight. The lack of big money fight was probably the reason behind pac's plan to move up in weight and think something foolish like fighting Diaz, or moving up further and going after Hatton, Mayweather, and the craziest of them all, Oscar. I'd rather have pac fight Marquez, Valero, Guzman and clean-up the whole super-featherweight division and retire honorably, than getting beaten up just for the money... But honestly if I were in his shoes - between millions and honor? - I'll go for the million.

He is working on an appeal now. He says he will pass any test thrown his way and the initial reading was inaccurate that it wasn't in his brain but around the outside of the skull. He states Dr's have verified this.

And I hate how people say he needs to step up his quality of oppenents. He has been calling out Pac for months and months. No one wants to step up and face this guy. And people saying he is a sloppy fighter. I disagree entirely, when I hear sloppy I think De Leon, he is much more refined than him. Trust me he wants to fight better people, its just a matter of who wants to fight him
McGirt recalling the minute break between the 9th round of the Ward fight "He said, 'Help me stand up and I'll finish the fight.'"

One way or the other theres nothing easy in fighting pac, your krazy kid if you think marquez would have had an easy win over pac if you take away all first 3 rounds of the fight. Look at marquez after the fight he look like he just had a heart attack. don't be foolish just cause you want jmm to win, theres nothing easy when fighting pac. you can bet the 2 cents you got in your pocket kid that even jmm would tell you that. That was Jmm's best performance in his entire career, he had to really dig down to even get past the first round and stay 100% on his toes and alert for the next incoming pac bomb. That fight defined jmm we all know that, and yes he won 7 of 5 rounds but he did not win no war against pac. He may have won the battle cause he survive, and luckily for him the foolish judge scored it wrong.

And im sure your not dumb enough to say pac was in his prime back then when i'm sure your one of the guys calling him one demensional at that time. Do you think pac is still that raw one demensional taz manian devil? no his not, and you know jmm ain't the same since he survive pac. he didn't even do what he should of done to chris john, he fought a few more leftys that kept catching him straight in his mug, and remember little young jaca giving him a tough night. Jmm is trading a lot cause he is selling out he can't pull another performance of surviving again against pac and on top of that, that was against raw wild pacman. His fwock now he is going against bigger stronger pacbeast that can outbox him silly til he decides to knock him out.

If you really think jmm is going to win u.d then bet me so we can change your name once again. just like how pacstraightleft made you change it before

I think you misunderstood what i said, i never said it was an easy night for Marquez. I said it would have been an easy victory *Points Wise*.

don't be foolish just cause you want jmm to win, theres nothing easy when fighting pac. you can bet the 2 cents you got in your pocket kid that even jmm would tell you that.

Yet again you took my comment the wrong way. I never said it was an easy night i know Marquez had broken nose and was swallowing his own blood, i'll repeat what i said above. I said it would of been easy victory *Points Wise*

That was Jmm's best performance in his entire career, he had to really dig down to even get past the first round and stay 100% on his toes and alert for the next incoming pac bomb. No doubt Marquez really got my respect after that excellent performance against Pacquiao. I think a draw was a fair result, because i had Marquez winning 8 rounds i believe, i think Marquez out boxed Pacquiao after the 2nd round and won almost every single round after that except for 2. The judges scores were way off 115-110 115-111.

And im sure your not dumb enough to say pac was in his prime back then when i'm sure your one of the guys calling him one demensional at that time. Do you think pac is still that raw one demensional taz manian devil?

I never really thought Pacquiao was 1 dimensional in the first place he has improved since the fight with Marquez, but he has not impressed me in his last two fights so them improvement's you speak of did not show in his last 2 fights.

he didn't even do what he should of done to chris john

He beat Chris John and he was robbed ask anyone who saw the fight if they thought John won, and although John is protected fighter he is World Champion and he is undefeated so he is still good fighter.

If you really think jmm is going to win u.d then bet me so we can change your name once again. just like how pacstraightleft made you change it before

I went with Barrera because he is one of my favorite fighter's, i did also state that i thought Pacquiao would win and i was just going with Barrera because im a big fan of his.

I think if Marquez is cautious in the early rounds and doesn't get caught cold, he could very well win a UD it is very possible.
