Like you, I feel the hands up style is a bad idea and I actually kept them quite low to implement a slipping ansd weaving defence.


Hey TM, What i was trying was to keep my left and right foot either side of his lead foot. Typically this would mean moving to the left, playiong into his longer jab, however, I kept my feet as described and moved close, I found this neutralised the jabe and allowed me to work the body and his chest at head height as long as I kepth the left glove up to avoid the straight right or Right hook, good idea?

Also, when we went to the ropes, I'm proud to say he held on for dear life.... so i pinned him went right and left hooked. Good to score one, but then it's a matter of hunting him down again as although the score is there you make room for him to get out.
