I already stated that they both began their careers at 106, around the same age... Sure Mayweather has moved up much further then Pac currently, but that's because he's been chasing big money fights as a pro for longer, and very much want's to be a p4p great... There's no reason Mayweather couldn't still be fighting at 130 or lightweight if he never had a desire to move up... The real difference is that Pac didn't have the amatuer career of Floyd. Thus, he never mastered the skills to beat an opponent who is naturally larger than he is along with being nearly as skilled and talented. So basically, in terms of the immediate response from fight fans, sure Pac beating Hatton would be viewed as something amazing... But in 10 years, we'll see that Mayweather already moved up from 106 to beat Hatton badly, and that Pac simply would have done the same thing after Hatton suffered the KO loss.
