Boxrec - as with any other potential computerized ranking - lacks the subjective element. Which in some cases is a good thing, but most definitely problematic when it comes to assess boxers as well. On paper, Ismael Abdoul did better against Haye than Mormeck did, and Ashira, Lacy and Kessler did similarly well against Calzaghe - in real life, not so much.

FWIW boxrec rankings are great though, as they do give a somewhat good indication of the level of the fighter (especially handy for boxers one have never heard of).

I actually like the computerized IBO-rankings btw. Along with the Ring, the best 'official' ones out there imo. Shame that the belt is meaningless.
