Because Mayweather can counter with a right hand over the top of your jab when your throw it only one at a time. You need to go to the body constantly forget the head shots because your be looking all night and never land a clean hard punch on Mayweather's chin. The body never moves so focus mostly your attack to the body something Castillo done very well in there 1st fight. Basically you need to have a good jab, be fast enough to be able to be somewhat competitive in exchanges with Mayweather. And focus mostly your attack to the body.

I think Paul Williams would do well against Mayweather, Williams uses angles on the inside and outside and he uses a great variety of punches to keep Mayweather guessing. Plus he has a decent jab and amazing work rate to keep Mayweather on the ropes, and also Williams hand speed is pretty good as well. The only problem i see is that Williams defense is very leaky and he would leave many countering opportunities for Mayweather.

If hitting the body worked for Castillo in the first fight, why didn't it work in the second fight? It's because PBF made the adjustment and after watching the so called feared body snatcher Hugman, who did absolutey no significant body work, looking to attack is body is only gonna get you a loss on your record.
I didn't mean exactly Castillo's style, i meant focus mostly your attack to the body. Lets remember that Castillo had slow footwork. So Mayweather in the rematch was able to defeat Castillo much easier just by using his much faster footwork. A good fast boxer could attack Mayweather's body very well. There's no point looking for head shots all night because Mayweather uses the shoulder roll so good, that even if you throw combinations to his head he is still able to avoid all the punches with his shoulder roll.

And why do people keep bringing up Hatton vs Mayweather ?? Hatton didn't nearly go to the body as much as he should have.

I havent seen him do much great body work since the Olivera fight (with the exception of Castillo... that was a great single shot).
I think all fighters who are good slick or good in-fighters hardly ever get hit with big shots to the body.

Hatton struggled with Mayweather particularly becuase he couldnt man handle him the way he wanted to get the shots off the way he likes.
    ht to the head)
It doesn't matter if you don't consider Hatton a great body puncher, he still didn't do as much body work as he should have. A good tactic to use when in close against Mayweather except for body shots, is hit him hard on the arms and shoulders get him to lower his hands so he won't be able to use shoulder roll effectively, and if you hit him on the shoulders correctly you can even give him a dead arm. Im surprised i don't see this tactic used anymore even against someone like Winky Wright.

Nobody can beat Pac either right ?

Everyone is beatable Julius . Right now Floyd looks unstoppable just as Jones did in his peak but theres always an upset waiting to happen . Nobody thought Tyson would lose to Douglas or Lewis to Rahman but it happens in boxing . Floyds biggest danger is becoming complacent.
well pac is more beatable then floyd is just base on taking more risk.

I just don't think anyone will beat floyd cause he won't fight guys that actually does have a chance, who knows maybe he'll lose someday but i don't see it cause i don't think he'll fight someone that is quick enough to catch him or hurt him.

My take on how to beat floyd is if you let him come to you for a while then just take your risk and suddenly rally to catch him coming in. That whole pressure style i don't see working cause im sure thats what floyd prepares for everyday of his training life. i think it'll take some way to suprise him, maybe a counter style mix in with a brawler that has great stamina and is willing to throw punches in bunches relentlessly but with controlled aggression. It'll be un uphill battle though cause floyd is the most careful fighter in boxing history.

Maybe becuase either way, a hard counter is comming right back.
Ive not seen a world of boxing, but im yet too see this tactic employed once, let a lone once in a winning fight

Ah yeah but the power and endurance he had was off the chart.
I wouldn't advise ANYONE to fight like Rocky.

Your right though. I was wrong

Cotto have the Medicine for Mayweather to how bit him , he have the double jab ,speed, southpaw hard puncher, he make a good combinations, work good body punches, etc. Thats is why Floyd have fear to lose a fight with Cotto.

I think the night he finally loses, a whole bunch of variables will come into play.

Mayweather will need to have an off night

Something would need to keep happening to break Mayweather's rythmn.

Mayweather will most likely have to hurt his hand

Mayweather will wind up fighting somebody who is far too big for him

Mayweather will be 35 and will be fighting a stronger, faster up and comer

Mayweather get's lazy and his opponent outworks him, in a dull fight (ala ODLH....almost)

Mayweather will have to fight a top welter in their prime, you forgot to add that. Hatton is a jr, DLH is well past his prime.
