Pick a method. Mine has been circuit training concentrating on a target rep speed particular to each exercise, with very brief rest times depending on the exercise. With this approach I have been able to improve my strength, endurance, and I've also found that my flexibility has improved, although I don't practice any form of stretching. I like this approach because it doesn't compromise my speed, or body weight, and it can improve the efficiency of anyone's energy system.
