Yes she and others are in my house and care; but it's a passion I have and love. The people who get bit are the ones who have tons of snakes, and keep them in small cages or large plastic tubs, and have no window of error due to the constant close proximity they are to their animals. I don't have that many and all mine are in at least 4 ft. cages. You just have to be careful; though they say it's not if you get bit, it's when.
A guy here in Texas just died Tuesday. He had 300 snakes in his house, and was a curator for a reptile zoo out in El Paso. He got tagged by one of his Timber Rattlesnakes{Canebrake}. Is all it takes is one complacent moment when you aren't paying 100% attention; and bad things happen. Here's the article.
