Here's some I took the other day when she was out and about. She almost got me right before I snapped the pics; and as you can see; she was quite perturbed by the time I started taking the pics :laugh

Thanks bro she's awesome
Hey what does she feed on dude ??
She feeds on medium to large rats. They are most of the time already dead, and thawed out from the freezer, then fed to her. Sometimes she won't feed unless it's a live prey item; so I get a large mouse or small rat and put it in to send to its doomA medium or large rat that is live will fight and can do injury to her with their teeth; so that is why live food is smaller. I fed her a large live rat one time and it was a war; until the venom took hold after a couple of minutes.
Is there anything you can do if she does bite you or are you pretty much fucked if that happens?
I have protocols set up in case I should be tagged by her. Most veomous keepers{the smart ones} have an emergency book with #'s to call and instructions for doctors and paramedics. I have contact with people who have anti-venin so I won't die. Of course all the precautions don't mean I wouldn't die anyways; but that is just a risk I take. No different than getting in your car everyday hoping some lunatic doesn't run you off the road![]()
yea but that potential lunatic is right in your house and your taking care of herOriginally Posted by LEGION

Yes she and others are in my house and care; but it's a passion I have and love. The people who get bit are the ones who have tons of snakes, and keep them in small cages or large plastic tubs, and have no window of error due to the constant close proximity they are to their animals. I don't have that many and all mine are in at least 4 ft. cages. You just have to be careful; though they say it's not if you get bit, it's when.
A guy here in Texas just died Tuesday. He had 300 snakes in his house, and was a curator for a reptile zoo out in El Paso. He got tagged by one of his Timber Rattlesnakes{Canebrake}. Is all it takes is one complacent moment when you aren't paying 100% attention; and bad things happen. Here's the article.
