Hey Ice, you'd probably know the answer to this, was Chavez actually 1-12-1 going into that fight or was his record closer to the record his people gave of 22-16?

Wrong Jesus Chavez. He's talking about the one he defended his WBC Junior Lightweight title against. Not the one he fought in his 9th fight

I jumped off the Manfredo bandwagon after the Lacy fight. I've decided that he's too lazy to make weight and condition properly, and that he'd rather lose on his feet than try to win and get KO'd. The Lacy fight was there for the taking, but he quit as soon as he got his bell rung. He had a real chance against Lacy if he would have stayed outsided, used movement and jabbed, like he did for the first few rounds, but instead, he did that lazy-ass in fighting, smothered himself, and got outworked. That crap cost him the 1st fight with Mora, and it it shows that he's not interested in being great. He'd rather skimp on roadwork and eat veal pizzaoli and be a journeyman SMW than do the work it takes to be a champ or real contender at 154.

It's real waste of a good set of boxing skills.

Mitchell even though he was shot was a much more well known name that Collazo was and thats a fact.

That's true but Collazo was more of a threat if you take everything into account.

Yes it is unfair because your looking back with hindsight, what you are saying now is nothing like what you was saying before the fight, you was predicting that Hatton would win and would give Mayweather his toughest fight of his career. I could do the same with any fight like Jones vs Tarver 2 i can look back and say *yes looking back i knew Tarver would KO Jones* but that would be BS because i didn't say anything of the sort before the fight. Your saying Mayweather handpicked the Hatton fight, which is very unfair considering how much of a chance you and all the Hatton fans gave him.

Maybe all what Hatton said "I'm going to beat him, he's faced nobody like me etc " went to my head and for some reason I believed him and I myself underestimated Mayweather after the Castillo and ODLH fights where they pressured him at times and I had not focused on Floyd's better wins.

They have called Mayweather out ?? thats news to me because i haven't seen one article where either of those guys called out Mayweather.

Cotto and Williams have both stated they would want to fight PBF and Cintron always says it.

Thats what every boxer fights for Lee *Money* its good business sense. Mayweather will make a ton of money beating ODLH your telling me you wouldn't take a rematch with a guy you already beat for all that cash ?? because i know i would. Cotto has not that done well on the PPV ratings, Mayweather is the much bigger draw, Mayweather is just waiting for the right opportunity the fight Cotto he is waiting until Cotto makes more of a name for himself, guarantee you now that Cotto vs Mayweather will happen at the start of 2009.

I really hope thats true as Cotto would be a very hard fight for Floyd and ATM I'm dissapointed at Floyd as he's took the money route and not the route to secure his legacy.

He's local. I support local guys until they prove they don't deserve my support, and right or wrong, I cut them a little more slack.

Yea VD is correct there are two of them, the Chavez that Mayweather fought early in his career, Mayweather actually suffered a cut by a headbutt, thats the only time i can remember Mayweather actually being cut in a fight. And as for the other Jesus Chavez the much better one, he gave Mayweather all he could handle he was throwing about 100+ punches a round, i used the Jesus Chavez argument to support why i thought Mayweather would beat Hatton, Chavez was landing at a very low percentage though and Mayweather was wearing him down the longer the fight went on, Chavez took a hammering in the 9th round his head was constantly snapping up from Mayweather's brutal uppercuts it was quite brutal to watch. Chavez's corner stopped the fight because he was taking too much punishment, but what a fight it was one of Mayweather's best.
