Toney was never as good defensively as MAywear, see him against RJJ. He didn't have the speed, however he was a better counter puncher.

Its a good list. For a guy that moves a lot Malignaggi really isn't all that hard to hit but then again I was thinking of who else to add to the list and nobody really jumped out.

Roy Jones as a middleweight/super middleweight had great defense. Ask Vinny Pazienza.![]()

Thats one of my fav fights of all time. Paz couldnt do anything.

RJJ used to be awesome but is too slow now, for me if he comes out of retirement its PBF,
but great list and read mate

Taeth can't help it but notice the title of the thread states current but on the list is PBF who's retired and you give honors to RJJ & Zab whom IMO are not at the top level they once were.
With that being said there are no signs of Cristian Mijares or Hozumi Hasegawa whom IMO are some of the best defensive fighters out there.

Yes. Thats the fight when he went the full round without taking a single shot. Is he still the only man since compubox began?
Top p4p defensive fighter for me has to be .................................................. ...........
Antonio Margarito. He lets the other guy break their hands on his head then pummels them lol.

I'd also like to say that Devon Alexander will take his place in one of these lists in the future once he get's more exposure. The kids got all the potential to do it.
