    Sound about right?
Even tho the banana is full of sugar (fructose) it's still not absorbed as quickly as glucose...no matter how brown it is

30 mins isn't that bad. Maybe try to shorten the length of time between finishing at taking the shake but to be honest, your body isn't aware of the exact time that you've stopped training. It's just the quicker you take it, the quicker it will be absorbed....and immediately after training your body is super responsive to nutrition.

Cool Ono, I can shorten that time no problem!!!

As for the immediate after training intake, would a few glucose sweets be the ideal thing?

Erm lucozade would be much better as its a liquid. You'd have to eat a fair few glucose sweets to get around 60grams of it.

Best thing to do would be too look at this table The GI Diet - Glycemic Index Traffic Light Food Chart

This explains all you need to know about GI and from this you will be able to choose the most suitable high GI solution for you after training.

Personally i go for a tin of tuna and 500ml Lucozade.

I can't afford protein powder at the minute because i'm a hobo

Ha sorry if I seem to be ducking the idea of Lucozade Ono.
My only problem is with the amount of cardio I do there is a thing that can occur called "caffeination"

This happened to Max Baer after drinking 5 bottles of coca cola after training.
I too once drank a litre of Coke just after training and I was brought to my knees by the pain that resulted.

Ever since I've been hesitant with fizzy drinks.

    Why did he do that?

Maybe white bread with some jam on it. Or jacket potato with some tuna on it. Rice Cakes are also good.

He said he had trained really hard and was gasping for a drink (which was unusual, him training hard that is.) he then collapsed on the ground in pain from caffeination.

It happened to me also and I READ ABOUT bAER YEARS LATER.

    That sounds pretty dangerous.

Ive heard avacados as well, but no matter how worn down or shagged I am,Ive just never been able to stomach the things
Pickles have everything that a cucumber does, plus all the salt, you just leaked
Two things I probably should have double underlined,Kosher Dills,or Polish Dills not say a sweet gherkin(sp)
And if it tastes like manna from heaven,go have another one,you need it.Especially if you arent a big fan of Pickles
