I can't see how Tito can't make 160. He looked like he was easily carrying around an extra 8lbs of arroz con pollo and ropa vieja. He just doesn't have the discipline to do it or the willingness to change a few training tactics to get his weight back down. If RJJ can make 170, Tito damn well can make 160 if he is dedicated enough. I think he just wants a little more money, but he's not willing to train hard enough.

Tito looked mighty fleshy in the RJJ fight. I call BS that he cannot make 160.

Is he just looking for straight paydays now without having to train?

For a former 147lb Welterweight Champion saying he can't make 160lb Middleweight just tells me his training program needs to be reviewed.
Is Tito just lazy or to reliant on the happy snacks in his diet!
He is not going to beat to many at 168lb, at 160 i give him a good chance of upsetting Pavlik!

    (sigh)!!!

I'm a lifelong fan of Tito's, but I'd like to choke Trinidad Sr. I can see Tito not being able to make 147 anymore, and maybe not even 154. But not being able to make 160?!?!? WTF?!? You DON'T take your power up with you as you climb in weight (see: Tito-Jones Jr). Tito CAN make 160, and he shouldn't fight any higher than that. And I'll say it till I'm blue in the face.... while Tito-Pavlik might be a barnburner of a fight, the fight I'd REALLY like to see at 160 is Tito-Oscar. For ol' times sake.

TBH and this is just my opinion...Trinidad really should not come back.....He had not fought in 2+ yrs before the Jones bout...He looked rusty as an old nail after rd 3.....By time he gets in a few tune ups so he is in shape will be another yr....Then by time a big name came up we are talking a 1 1/2 yrs...Then Trinidad will be almost 37.....Then he fights until he is beaten the first time then retires...Why bother?....

Hes got some good left in him but needs bouts to get his timing etc...Right now any of the champions beat him IMO

Well guys ,im a Titos fans too , but we have to recognize that he will not going make it , his first mistake was , retire in his first lose with Hopkins , now he is out of times; in 160 pnd he didnt won a fight except Yoppy and then 168 pnd he looks fat, heavy and decreased his power punch with Jones jr., what more can we expect of him , the MW and SMW is too much for him, we see that he have the height but dont have the stronghest like other fighters in that division, Do you think what will happen if he match up with Pantera Miranda in 168pnd? Cmon we know that he came back just for CASH , but he have to worry by his HEALTH.

Exactyly what I was thinking. He obviously can cut weight to 160. Does he really not now how to do that? Or is this just a bargaining ploy.
