yea Andre has a fight coming up, Im excited hoping to see the pitbull. Kongo is another beast that can really dominate. I dont' know how far kimbo can really go in the mma, but his got more then enough guys that can put him through a whole lot of pain.

Oh abosolutely...Just as Lesner found out recently being strong and hitting hard isn't enough...These top MMA guys only need a split sec to catch you in a bad position....

Congo needs to improve his ground game a bit...it has been improving each time out and in a few years IMO he will be a dominate force...His stand up is SICK...his power is scary.....Get a decent ground game and it is a make up for a demolishing machine...

Kimbo needs to learn how to compose himself even on his feet...we have yet to see any ground game but he can't lose control in the moment like the other night when he hit Abbott in the back of the head...being dangerous and hitting hard is one thing you need to be composed to become truly effective...be it MMA or Boxing

compose to be effective, thats so true. Like my boy tyson, frustrate him and he'll be like a headless chicken running around hopeless.

I like congo i think he has a good future, he dominated crocop and not just caught him with something out of nowhere but really beat him. Im still hopeful for Andre though. I really hope he can become champion. I don't know what Randys problem is but Nogeria is now the interim champ and Im not sure if Andre can beat either guy just yet. Ive seen a lot of Nogeria back in pride his pretty good, I think randy beats him though.

Arlovski has a very heavy right hand but his chin in questionable. In addition, he is not one to muck it up like Kimbo. He wasn't exactly what anyone would call "aggressive" against Werdum and Werdum doesn't have NEARLY the power of Kimbo. So yes, he probably COULD stand with Kimbo, but WOULD he?

Alright...I'm a bit like my post icon right now, so this is gonna be very piecemeal...

He wasn't aggressive because he feared Werdum's takedown, not his fist. But what's important is that he was afraid. Kimbo will destroy him if he comes in afraid.

As far as the comments about MMA fighters being brought up much more competitively than boxers, you're absolutely right. Amateur MMA is FAR from readily available (even here in Mass, where MMA is being pretty readily embraced, and fighters flock from several nearby states to train, Am.MMA is just now being held on a steady basis, rather than once every few months). Many fighters start in small local leagues, and then are quickly recruited by the major organizations to fight on undercards. If they perform well, one or two more undercards, and they're on televised fights (and there are no small events in the major orgs). Even one televised win can put them in title contention within 8 fights, or as little as 3 or 4 if particularly impressive.
Look St. Pierre (17 fights and already a two time champ), or Couture (24 fights, with two coming after he retired, having held the title spereately in two weight classes on however many different occasions). They're fair amounts of fights, but compared to boxing's champs and title contenders? Absolutely nothing. Any big name transfers are generally thrown to the wolves very quickly, and as such have trouble making the transition without fading or being turned off from the sport .

South...in a real fight, they aren't going to hold the armbar until you tap, they're gonna snap your arm before you know what's going on, which you won't unless you're well trained in the ground game. And people don't just sit there and let you wail on their nuts (which you can't really punch well while being armbarred as they're covered by your own arm, or at all if you're facing the floor), or poke their eyes out (how hard is it to move their head, which you can't reach in the first place?)

And Kimbo would easily fall prey to a strong wrestler at this point in his career. He is working with the best in Bas, and Bas is managing him VERY wisely. He's already said he won't give Kimbo a fight he can't realistically win. The more he trains, the more realistically he can beat anybody. He's a slugger right now, but I think Bas will make him into a serious force in the Heavyweight division.

And lastly, whoever said Nogueira couldn't take Kimbo's shots is insane...The man has NEVER been knocked out OR subbed, while 19 of his own 31 wins have come by submission. Nog would get knocked down after trying to trade, take a beating, then sub him easily. The man is very patient and rarely misses opportunities. Bob Sapp dealt this man one of the worst beatings I have ever seen and STILL subbed him easily late in the fight. Only reason it took so long is because Sapp was able to muscle out of the subs in a way Kimbo could only hope to emulate. He's strong but not THAT strong.
Boxing is like a handjob, and MMA is like a hot sweaty orgy with 5 chicks. I could never say no to a handjob, but which would you rather have?

Randy beats Congo less then a minute after they are on the mat...And crazy enough that is not really anything to be ashamed of....In time Congo will be suffice skill wise on the ground though...Power is not always enough on the ground to keep you from tapping
