On a serious note, Saddo has spoken, he wants the fight so it should be made.
No me and your mum will be going instead

Seriously his popularity is definately on the way up....but he still aint that popular. I'm just guessing that surely holding the WBC for a decent length of time whilst fighting on HBO will increase his popularity.

Maybe VD is onto something with his 'waiting for Witter's reflexes to slow down'

Maybe he's not.....we can only speculate as none of us know Ricky's full plan.

We can use our opinions tho and in my honest opinion i believe the fight will happen and Hatton is simply waiting for Witter to beat some more top contenders, thereby forcing Hatton's hand.

Well yeah, the fights on with Lazcano so they must have. Good point it's daft really unless it's down to the fight probably being in UK so not many US punters. Who knows

Calzaghe-Kessler proved a mega-fight between two Europeans will NEVER appeal to the Americans (it got the lowest HBO rating ever)

So Hatton-Witter, which would obviously have to take place in England, is never gonna be a BIG fight Stateside.. so the excuse the Amercians aren't interested in Witter is bollocks, cause they never will be.

[QUOTE=Preme;465947]If hatton doesn;t fight him soon i think it will seriously affect his long term legecy. sure he just fought the best p4p in the world, but who wouldn't with the money he got paid? He made more in that fight than he will make for the rest of his career and he knows it.

What really pissed me off big style was him spouting that crap about not fighitng witter and giving him his biggest pay day for bad mouthing hatton? making a name for him self off hatton's back?

first off Ricky just got his biggest pay day for shooting his mouth off about floyd, "coming down like russel crow fighting like that singer girl crow" "seen more action in my 4 rounds than floyds career".... that's how he got floyd, simple as.QUOTE]

No, that's not how he got Floyd. He got Floyd because it made commercial sense, because he brought a proven pedigree, high profile and a massive following to the table. If Mayweather fought every guy who had a pop at him he'd be fighting every week.

Exactly, Floyd fought him when it made financial and commercial sense to him. ...and that happened to be after Hatton gave out an impressive performance against Castillo.

Hatton will do the same thing with Witter and take the fight when it makes commercial and financial sense.....and that will probably be at the end of this year or the start of next year
