Another thing that helps is they let police officers drive their police cars home when they get off from work. Seeing a police car in the yard would definitely discourage someone from burgulurizing or any thing else, even if it was a block or so away.
Yeah I can see how both your communities have good systems going. For some reason people in my area don't have a tight community structure. For example I live in a fairly big apartment complex and see my neighbours walking in and out regularly but I don't know any of their names.

What we need is someone on the local council with the same good, constructive community watch ideas that you and Julius have.

I have to admit I never see police cars parked anywhere except while they are attending a crime scene and I can see how just seeing a police car in the area would be a huge deterrant!

    I don't know a lot of people's names either.

I've heard that some apartments will give cops a discount because they know crimes are less likely to be committed if there are police living nearby.

Yeah you have some constructive ideas. I am trying to rep about 5 different people at the moment including you and Julius but apparently I have to spread it around- - frustrating!

That is kinda of a good idea, letting officers leave there vehicals home with them. That sure will discourage thefts, only problem is theres been in the past a few police targetting by hardcore criminals such as gang members. Officers prefer to keep themselfs private and not let others know his a cop. that can be putting his family under target if he had any criminals holding a grudge against him.

What do you call a good looking Arab?

    As,if !

Hey did you tell the cops at all?
They may want to track this pricks movments so they get a fix on where he may travel between etc.
IF other have repoted him then they can get a fix on his movments .
Our local cops their own undercover girls into the known path of a serial killer here to catch him out.

Yeah I reported it - twice. Once at the local cop shop and again when I saw the crime stoppers report that sounded like him. They said without the number plate there's not much they can do but I guess they'll call me if they find him - maybe? I don't know!

Yes I agree a Maccas drive through would ensure the golf course/ tennis court/ train line area would be much safer. Except for those looking to combat high cholesterol
