Just kidding. The scariest dream I ever had was about 4 or 5 months ago and involved the paralysis thing you talked about.

I woke up (rather dreamt I did) and sat in front of my pc actually logging into this site. I then pulled open the curtains. To my horror instead of my normal view outside was a cow abatwar and a truck at the top of this road where the cattle where being led down and then slaughtered right opposite my house.

I now obviously realised I was dreaming and tried to wake myself up. I actually dreamt I woke up again, and truly believing I was awake I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I saw a flash of something behind me and felt the most fear I have ever felt.

I felt something was in my flat and about to kill me. Seriously I'm getting the shivers now just talking about and keep looking over my shoulder expecting the girl from the Ring's hair to drape over my shoulder

Anyways I dreamt I got back into bed and was trying to raise my self up, literally willing myself to wake up. Just like you I had to do the grinding of the teeth thing and when I finally did wake up I leapt out of bed and pulled the curtains open and thanfully everything was normal, but I really really shit my self.

Another time in my old flat I dreamt I was thrown out of bed and actually did fall out of bed and wake up. Because it seemed so real (again it was the Ring girl, the original Japanese scary girl not the cute kid in the American version) I rung my brother from the kitchen and told him I had been thrown out of my bed. He told me it was just a dream and I went back into my bedroom with him still on the phone. I swear to you by bed was pushed upright against the wall!

I ran back into my kitchen and told my brother who assured me I was still dreaming so I went back in again and it was all normal.

I went back to sleep and the next morning wasn't sure if I had dreamt the whole thing or not. I rung my brother and he confirmed that I did indeed ring in the night so that part at least hadn't been a dream.

Pretty freaky but I don't think it was paranormal.

They say you run into people that can relate to you in many ways. I thought I was the only one maybe im not retarded after all but yea that experience is crazy. Throughout the years though I have overcome it. I remember being so fearful but this one time I just gave up and was curious what would happen. For some reason I was sure nothing bad would happen to me. so I just didn't fend of that experience and it for some reason just went away. I haven't gone through it for a long while now. I think its nothing to me know, I actually feel like it fears me now. That something imo feeds off your fear and once you realize to just relax and have faith nothing bad will happen to you. Just like in any dream, just relax and take back your mind (or dream) but in this case what ever this thing is just relax and take back your body. Ooh yea i remember there was a few times I had a out of body experience while I had this paralize experience. I saw myself asleep, and I tried to get people to wake me up I at that time was shyt scared. I didnt know what to do, when I finally woke up I was so afraid to go back to sleep.

Whilst I'd love to share your optimism I doubt having similar life experiences to myself would be considered an indicator of sanity by any other fellow board members.

Anyway nothing wrong with being a bit nutty. One of my hero's is the man who eat's badgers on Bodmin Moor. He's just drives along the moorland and scoops up any roadkills he finds and takes them home, skins them and puts them in his freezer to eat.

All the locals think he's a crazy deviant but in reality he's reducing his carbon footprint and minimising waste. He's a trailblazer.

LOL, indeed our paths are similar at the moment..

I'll see what i've had a look for, but the best thing I did was register to this UK magic website... It's a little like Saddo's in that different area's of the forum open up as you get more posts, because they don't like sharing their realllly good magic with just anyone..
But generally the main forum has tonnes of impressive stuff including information, product reviews, descriptions of tricks, a lot of ESP/Mentalism magic (Mentalism is the mind reading/mind tricks part of magic which is really interesting.. I'll upload an e-book i've got on it soon)..

I'll see if i've got the magic website bookmarked, but it was a great resource..

The best product i've found is this massively powerful magnet that is relatively small for it's powerfulness, and it can get strapped under your sleeve to your arm, or on your thigh or ankle,, and it's powerful enough to move things through tables or from far away if angled right...

I was thinking of using this at work... Not to actually SHOW anyone that I can do "MAGIC",,, but just like, if I see someone looking at me or whatever, i'll pretend I haven't seen them, and use the magnet under the table to like, make my pen fly into my hand.. Or like, hold my hand open on the table aimed at my stapler, then drag that f'ker into my open hand..... And do it as if I think no one is watching me and I just used my 'secret' mind power to move things around without having to use my hands... It'll totally freak people out!! If I say, "watch I can do magic, they'll automatically be trying to think how I did it"... But doing it the way I though, it could seriously freak people out...

You could come up with something like that to do in a bookstore or something and just have some really hot girl see you do it out of the corner of her eye or something... Strap another magnet to the bottom of a coffee mug, then drag it into your hand (with your mind) and sip it like it's just an every day thing...

Also, Mystery's one where you go "pick a number between 1 and 4" and with your hands you make hand gestures at "1" and "4" then click between them at around where "3" would be,,, then read her mind and say "3"..

Well don't just guess 3, pretend you have to actually "read" her to get the answer... Like, say, "just look up for a second",,, think,, then "can you look to the left,,, now right,,, back up again",,, ummm, is it 3

Then do the same with the "1 to 10" with the "7"... Make her look different directions or whatever, just something that looks like you have to analyze her to get the answer out of her head...

Another way I thought of making this REALLY good is to
1. Do the 1 to 4 trick with her, guess it right - 3... Then write on a small bit of paper "3" in the top half... Show her, fold it up and put it in your pocket...
2. Do the trick again with 1 to 10, guessing 7... Take another small bit of paper out, write the 10 on the bottom half, take the 3 one out of your pocket, fold or screw them both up together... Then light them on fire or something, or put them into your "magic matchbox" or something like that...
3. Put the matchbox in your pocket, or the ash of the paper in your pocket and say, on the count of 3, these 2 peices of paper will be repaired and joined into 1 with both numbers on it... count to 3, then pull out a blank peice of paper... she's be like, oh, that's gay! then so oh wait, I think you shoudl check your handbag,,,, then when she does she'll find a peice of paper in their with 3 and 7 written on it!
which you of course, put their right at the start or even 10 minutes before doing the trick, because you knew she was going to say 3 & 7 already!...

I just made this up but if you can get creative you can change it around and make it really seem awesome..

Something that might add to it is not even guess the numbers right.... say "2", then when she says, no it's "3", be like, oh darn I got it wrong... But then write the 3 on the paper.... So the second half of the trick is still right where she finds the paper somewhere totally amazing without any way of you being able to put it there after learning her numbers...
