Ha! I can see Lyle standing up screaming "Look at the way Wlad slapped down Sultan's jab" "Incredible stuff"

Sure it's not Wlad's finest performance but he won the fight and Sultan Ibragimov showed he's tough and a difficult fighter.
    A)I edited it
B)You went right for an Ali fight, that was way more exciting then this thing,so it definitly came off that way
It was a snooze festival Lyle,it was booring as hell from pillar to post, you stick your hand out,and Ill slap it
If I wanted to see that,Id go back to Catholic School

    A) Thank you...just for future refrence if I anger you please try to stick to calling me something other than a racist is all...call me names if you like but just not a racist.

    B) Might have seemed that way but I think Ali is dreadfully boring....but this is coming from a guy who touts Joe Louis as the greatest heavyweight ever in the history of the sport. I like boxer/punchers, Wlad is a boxer/puncher HOWEVER I agree he was more boxer than puncher tonight.

Not Wlad's best performance but I told you I was nervous about the fight, that awkward style could have caused major issues for Wladimir and everyone knows this. Being that Wlad won and used a better defense and that I am a Wladimir fan, I am naturally want to look at the bright side of things....so I understand your dislike of the fight but be nice

Your quite right the fight itself was not all that exciting...If it were any two other heavyweights then those two the fight would be al but forgotten...It was the aura around the fight that made it great

    As has allready noted,I edited
This fight was frustraiting as hell to watch though
I kept thinking he was employing Hopkins/Tarver frustrate the range finding jab and then find his own range and come with the right
He wouldnt do it the whole damned night
I agree he won it on his jab,but he could have ended the night alot sooner if he could have shown a pair

Well it's not nice to tease the Southerner when he's good and liquored up....because he may just give you a piece of his mind.

I wanted Wladimir to throw that right cross and KO Sultan more than anyone else on this forum....it didn't happen but Wlad still won, that is all that matters to me, he lives to defend those titles another day.

    """he did SOME things well""

Yes, he beat the piss out of Ibragimov's glove... Perhaps the greatest beatdown of a glove I've ever seen..

    Good on you Nebraska

as for 'The Rumble in the Jungle'.....Foreman landed on Ali's arms, Ali laid on the ropes played to the crowd, and then countered with straight punches.

Also Foreman and Ali are both right handed fighters

Sultan Ibragimov was a cross between Chris Byrd and Corrie Sanders and so you can realize why Wlad was a little too cautious. Wladimir SHOULD have KO'd him but after a while it wasn't a risk worth taking, like LENNOX LEWIS SAID
