Wlad had a bad night, happens to everyone

I noticed in his last few fight he stopped using the right hand , just hiding behind a jab , this is a bad habit he wants to break, once he is in tough he will feel like fish out of water. The right hand won’t feel natural to throw when forced into battle and thus his timing will be off from this
    .
The opportunities to toss the right hand were there all night long. he could have and should have closed the show impressive, with his obvious assets and talent.

Gun shyness is a sure way to kissing the canvas. good thing for Wlad this Sultan fellow stayed in Wlad's range by design.. that still baffles me??

typical mayweather strategy and mentality . Funny everyone thinks they can be Floyd Mayweather. the thing is, it takes tremendous natural talent, to take a shit boring style and make it work like Floyd can .. Fact is most can't .. this is an example of that. YUCK ,,

All he had to do was step to the right, and drop it.
And he just wouldnt do it for whatever reason
I kept trying to convince myself that he was trying to wear Ibragimov down, but the 12th only looked like a slower version of the first

Well by the 12th there was no reason to try for the KO....too much risk and Wlad was already going to win the fight handily.

It was a shame the 11th didn't last a minute longer those right hooks Wlad landed hurt Sultan and had he been able to follow up that would have been all she wrote

There was a couple of times I thought he had him hurt, and he just wouldnt follow up
Now I will admit, there might be more to the story,he could have hurt his hand in training ala Calzeghe/Kessler,and was saving it,he could have pulled a calf muscle and didnt feel comfortable stepping out,the list is endless.
But from a boxing fans perspective, that fight was the equivalent of watching paint dry

....and apparently enough to make everyone forget about his 44 KO's the last of which he dispatched Ray Austin in less than 2 rounds

You can't MAKE the other fighter fight the way you want him to. If you can't deal with disappointment then don't watch boxing buddy

Sorry to say this LG but your way off the mark, most of Mayweather's fights have been exciting except a few of his latest fights, why don't you check out.

    Floyd Mayweather vs Jesus Chavez
    Floyd Mayweather vs Phillip Ndou
    Floyd Mayweather vs DeMarcus Corley
    Floyd Mayweather vs Arturo Gatti
    Floyd Mayweather vs Diego Corrales
    Floyd Mayweather vs Genaro Hernandez
Floyd Mayweather vs Jose Luis Castillo 1
    Floyd Mayweather vs Emanuel Burton
    Floyd Mayweather vs Angel Manfredy

I feel what your saying. ICB At 135 Mayweather mixed it up a bit , he had his moments of excitement .. However in recent years .. Well they been boring mate. A great talent Mayweather make no mistake. But to classify him as a thrilling style.. Well ?? No. the opponent might make it a thrilling go , but its usually not Mayweathers gear that’s set for forward. He has the skill set needed to be thrilling could have easily made the fight vs. Baldimer and some others .
Choosing safety first is not a bad strategy or watch in and of itself, but when an opportunity arise to give the fans the money worth, that opportunity should always be seized. that’s what sets say Pete Whitaker and Sugar Ray Leonard apart from Floyd.. They would try and seize every opportunity available.
Please don’t take offense to my thoughts. Just my personal opinion.

a marvel of talent Floyd Mayweather no mistake.

I'm on the middle of the fence on this one. Was the fight boring "Yes", did the crowd and fans especially those that bought tic's get ripped probably and all the other complaints about the fight are justified, but who is really to blame. Sulton basically had beaten two other big guys in the past the same way he tried to win on sat..by jabbing his way inside and making the fight there like most would say he is supposed to but klitschko watched him in the past knew that slapped away his jab and basically did the old 6th grader vs 3rd grader hold the head and let him swing move for the rest of the night. Could he have landed and thrown the right more and got the KO probably but klitch with his questionable chin and so much on the line chose to not take chances and let sulton try to come up with a plan B to beat him. Sulton couldn't and that was the fight. I put a lot of blame on klitcho for his part in this sleeper but i put just as much on sulton. He had only one game plan, no advice given to him in the corner, and wasn't ready to risk getting hit to try someting different.

Thanks bro...i just feel it's better to have everyone bitch about how you won than talk shit about how you loss. Of course we all want to see back and forth slug action with someone getting knocked out of the ring but i was just as interested in seeing how tactfully sulton was gonna overcome the simple homework klitchko did in seeing that without that jab sulton had no other idea of what to do. But he never figured it out and in my eyes in large part to his corner just watering him up slappin some vasoline on him and sending him out every round like everything was going ok. It kinda reminds me of some floyd fights considered boring.....if something is working and you can easily win the fight save the wear and tear mentally and on your body, when you are on top there definatly gonna be some more hard battles down the road (and hate it or not klitchko is on top of that division...well right now anyway) so if your opponet is able to give you a sparring session take the sparring session. I know some may not agree but i still have to see it from both points of view.

I don't expect to see a toe to toe war in every fight and i wasn't expecting that in the Wlad fight either, but i was hoping for Wlad to at least try and take his man out, he has been far too gun shy lately. I appreciate the sweet science but too me all it looked like was a jabfest/clinchfest with a fighter aka Wlad looking scared to get hit. And for the best Heavyweight in the world at the moment that is very disappointing and a sorry to sight to see. It wasn't even good enough to be classed as a sparring session in fact i have had tougher sparring sessions than Wlad did last night. I respect Wlad but come on of course he is going to get a lot of criticism and for good reason as well. He could of took Sultan out at anytime with the right hand so why did he not do it ?? and then at least that way he can look impressive and give the fans there money worth. And for a Heavyweight unfication fight it was a shambles and all its done is bring the Heavyweight division even lower than it was.
