Evander was quoted in saying if the money was right he would take the fight. This saddends me , i really enjoyed Evanders career , i always thought his , blind optomism of winning the unified crown again , was just because he needed the glory.
Now im beggining to think hes actually become very greedy , and he is cheating the fans , let alone the fact he could end up punch drunk or much worse. Do yourself a favour Evander and retire. As for Tyson well he doesnt even have the basic skills anymore , so please dont let this match happen.
WOT DO YOU GUYS THINK ?
Tyson has the ability but not the will. Holyfield has the will, but not the ability. Sadly, this fight has lost its freshness as these two are 1st ballot hall of famers- one definitely needs the money and the other I'm having an increasing sensation needs it. If Holyfield truly wanted a crack at the title he wouldn't be interested.

Has anyone seen the Danny Williams interview on the BBC site regarding this?

BBC SPORT | Boxing | Tyson-Holyfield rematch slammed

It's hilarious, Danny Williams of all people, who has been in more embarrassing fights than any other British fighter, including against Tyson says the fight would be a farce.

Then at the bottom of the interview it concludes by saying Williams is currently preparing for a possible showdown with James Toney

That would make such an appropriate undercard fight to Tyson Holyfield

Yeah, at least Holyfield and Tyson have some kind of name recognition as opposed to just being bums.

    crazy , mad, ridiculous

Would I pay to watch it - course I fucking would !

This fight will sell - it will happen

And the fact that it may generate some excitement in the heavyweight divison shows how bad it has become.

The other heavyweights should take note - it's up to them to generate some excitement so matchups like this don't steal the show

    Bring it on !
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

if it does happen nobody will buy into the thought of it being a legitimate fight in the sense its a credible fight between two fighters who are at least both really up for it and hungry and where the winner would go somewhere from winning it,as it is Tyson is just after the money and holyfield...who knows,b4 u cld c he woz just wanting another crack at glory and so u know he was takin it serious so that woz cool even if he woz older u thought he might hav a half chance against 1 of the 4 champs but now..............be just the money aswell

dnt get me wrong,im a big Tyson fan and this fight maybe 4/5 years ago would hav gotten me well pumped up when Tyson woz still managing to kid ppl on that he woz up for fighting etc etc and takin training serious so u cld buy into him as a threat even in 03/04 with the division as it woz but not now for a number of reasons other peeps and me hav stated mainly Tyson being bankrupt and Holyfield not lookin a threat really to present HV's but also coz no doubt in the lead up to it you would be getting all the hype abt how serious Tyson taking training etc etc wen u knw all he'd b doin is just weights to look gd on the surface and just turn up for a big pay day

Of course if it happens il still watch it lol but only way id buy into the idea and other ppl is if both were to hav a cple fights against decent oppostition and win and look gd doin it then it would work if u know wot i mean
