Litzau's only chance of winning that fight was to go in there and try to knock out Robert Guerrero. Thanks to Buddy McGirt, Litzau tried to box with Guerrero and got picked apart. Why anyone would bring in Buddy to train a slugger to be a boxer on short notice is beyond me. With Arturo Gatti it was different because Gatti had been a boxer before he turned slugger, so McGirt only needed to get him back to what he had been before. With Litzau, trying to make him a scientific boxer on short notice was a disaster.
