I agree with that, I like Joe he adds some depth to the division and yeah he has never been beaten, though he's been very close.

I just think Joe Mesi has a choice to make about his career (with sanctioning body approval of course), he either goes all out and tries to get the belts or he should hang them up.

Joe Mesi is a good fighter, he has power and skill in some areas, however I highly doubt he would be anything more than a journeyman or a gateway to the contenders. I think Wladimir would absolutely crush him....Joe Mesi, the guy who got hurt by a Monte Barrett right cross! The guy who has yet to fight a title holder either past or present!

I think Joe Mesi should aim for a shot at Evander Holyfield that would be the best he could beat at this time...I think John Ruiz would be too much for him! I think Chris Byrd would beat him up pretty good!

The only shot he would have at Golota is to jump on him early which is what Joe does....but if he tried that vs Wlad he'd be sent off to sleepytown via the right cross expressway

I think Joe should fight just because he wants to fight; and he should fight decent opposition but forget about unifying the division or anything like it. And do not enter a ring with the likes of Klitchko.

Fight Holyfield, Rahman maybe, how about Tua? Fight to enjoy and entertain and do it for charity and to lay groundwork for other life goals. Mesi has a lot going on besides boxing, but it was boxing that put him out there.

From what I've read his brain injury after Jirov is no more likely a second time than it was the first, so his risk isn't any greater than any fighter that enters the ring. If so, then fight on - but time to step it up and get three-four decent fights and then quit. So no more county fairs ...
