It was alleged but never substantiated

I didn't start this thread but it's guys like this dude who make it even MORE difficult for me to explain a FAN'S point of view when I have to disagree with the crazies....it's great you like Wlad too but put it in perspective.

What we know without a doubt is that he didn't get back in the ring with him and instead got his giant-headed brother Vitali to fight him instead. If you're supposedly a champion and you get humiliatingly knocked out in a round by a guy brought in to be another W on your record and you don't get back in the ring with him then that makes you look like a fraud who's suddenly discovered you have a crap chin. And the way the guy has fought since then confirms it.

That is your opinion....Wlad would have fought Sanders again but alot had to be changed about the way Wladimir fights.

Freak losses like that usually happen to boxers and sometimes they don't get rematched it's just the way things are.

Here is the way things happened:

Sanders wanted big money and he had already beaten Wlad...Vitali was the man on top then, he just went toe to toe with Lewis and fought his ass off. Sanders let the WBO belt go after beating Wlad and he went for the money and the title vacated by Lennox Lewis because he was an out of shape power puncher with not many years left....he had one trick, it worked one time. Sanders didn't want the rematch at that time, he wanted the money....so in the mean time Wlad rebuilt his career and Sanders basically retired after fighting Vitali.

Wlad lost to Brewster, Sanders took a 2 year layoff and Wlad came back to win titles again and Sanders also came back and then got KO'd and now he's fucked everything up.

The pieces for a rematch never fell into place....Wlad may still fight Corrie though, you never know

"A lot had to be changed" is just a bs excuse. All that's changed since he fought Sanders is that he's gunshy. And the rest of the post is just more excuses. If you claim to be any sort of champion and you get humiliated by a guy who's nothing special inside a round and then you won't get back in the ring with him then you're no champion.

Did you not fucking read my post? I said Sanders didn't want to fight Wlad either. Sanders is hella old now and he was old back then, the clock was ticking and he wanted to make some money and be THE champion. Lennox Lewis had retired, Vitali took out Kirk Johnson and they were #1 and #2 for the WBC title and it only made sense for THAT fight to happen and not the rematch with Wlad.

Not only are you a Klitschko hater, you'd be a horrible manager for a fighter.

Since then Sanders took time off, Wlad lost to Brewster, and Wlad got back on his game, beat Brewster and Sanders lost to someone I don't know in 2 rounds.

When during this timeline was the rematch supposed to happen?

Also if you did see the fight and I assume you did, you would see Wlad fighting in a near crouch....which is not a smart move for a tall fighter, had Wlad used his height he would have a better time blocking or avoiding those punches

Excuses, excuses. Just wait till Herbie Haye hits him on the chin.

Who the fuck is Herbie Haye?

being 6'3 cruiserweight and exchanging right crosses with Wlad....it's not the smartest gameplan I've ever heard of but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
