I think this will be a closer fight than many expect. I remember Miranda landing some absolute gems on Pavlik.

If the same happens to Kessler, who knows.

Does Kessler have the same level of determination and heart as Pavlik? Can he absorb the shots just like Pavlik did? And can he fire back with enough power and intensity as Pavlik did?

I think a lot on here just remember him being ko'd but the fight was very close. Pavlik's chin and heart kept him in that fight.

There is a chance Kessler can dominate with straight punches. But there is also a chance that he could unravel if he's hurt. Nobody has ever seen him in a situation like that.....so it could be very interesting.

People like to refer to Miranda as some overly crude wild brawler. He is not as crude as people think and he gave two current world champions a run for their money. One of them ended up with a broken jaw, the other fought him in the trenches which smothered his shots. Which route will Kessler take? Well he is not a trench type of fighter so Miranda will be packing some steam on his shots.
I agree with what you say. People here are making it seem like Miranda will just stand there and get outboxed like Mirandas gonna be armless and wont be throwing back. I'll say this if Joe rocked Mikkel then imagine what a shot from Miranda could possibly do?

And you guys know Kess is my boy from way back before he became World Champ. I just never underestimate opponents ESPECIALLY live ones like Miranda.

COME ON KESS!!! Make it happen...

I just sent Pantera a message on myspace and here is what he says:

"We are waiting on an answer from his team".

Kessler won't be able to push Miranda backwards like Pavlik did. Pantera can pull it off if he doesn't take alot of right hands flush.

I was thinking about that now PoB, I didn;t think Miranda spoke english. Perhaps he isn't the trash talker he appears to be, maybe all his comments are full of respect except that his translator has a sense of humour.

Miranda's Own Words: "Kessler es un opositor formidable. El es una lucha muy resistente y estoy mirando adelante a ella."

Actual Translation: "Kessler is a formidable opponent. He is a very tough fight and I am looking forward to it"

Miranda's Spokesman Translation: "Kessler is not a man. He should be playing checkers or water polo. Those Tattoo's do not make him tough."

Warriors does have a good PR team, but I wouldnt be surprised if they talk with Edison before coming out with those releases.

If you have ever seen Miranda speak live, like at a press conference, these releases refelct his personality. He can go on forever behind the mic and usually has the audience laughing with his comments. A pretty funny dude.

You can't prove that by me. Mayorga managed to beat a champion and defend his title. That's the only difference I see between the two.

Miranda won the IBF champion from Abraham (just not offically) and defended it successfully twice.

Agreed...IMO Mayorga is better skilled then Miranda....Mayorga can actually box fairly well...he just prefers to slug it out

I think Kessler should win this pretty easily...I just dread that Miranda might become lucky and bring the Miranda hype to new heights(I mean if even a clear loss brings comments like the one underneath what will a win do?!?)...
On the other hand chances are good that Kessler shuts the hype once and for all up for good...

There should have been a rematch.

Kessler has never even been down in his career. I think it'll be a great fight, but Kessler will win a late TKO. I admire Miranda though, and I'm a big fan.
