As Mayorga comes to the end of his career, how can you compare his career to Miranda's who is relatively young and getting started?

Mayorga took beatings from De la Hoya and Trinidad, Had Miranda met Trinidad and Oscar at that time in their careers p4p there is a strong possibility that Miranda would have beaten them.

When has Mayorga ever been competitive with a man at the top of his division? Miranda broke Abrahams jaw in a good fight. I don't really rate Vernon Forrest.

When has Mayorga ever been in the ring with a current pound for pound guy? Miranda was in there with Pavlik?

In boxing because a fighter holds a title he is not necessarily better than one who doesn't. Case and Point Charley Burley ans Sam Langford.

First off i normally find you a very good poster Donny but i have to be honest with you, your comment about Miranda *may* of beat ODLH or Tito is ridiculous. I think your forgetting this is the same Miranda who could not beat Abraham despite Abraham's jaw being badly broken. Plus Miranda was also dropped by a 50 percent Allen Green, who was uninterested and wasn't even throwing any damn punches. ODLH and Tito even at that stage in there career's where at a much higher level than Miranda can ever dream of getting near.

When has Mayorga ever been competitive with a man at the top of the division ?? Vernon Forrest who was just coming off giving Mosley a beating. And wasn't Mosley P4P number 1 ?? You don't really rate Vernon Forrest but you rate Arthur Abraham ?? that really makes sense. Cory Spinks was also one of the top fighters in Welterweight division when Mayorga fought him, and a lot of people also thought Mayorga got robbed.

I hope you didn't take my comments offensively im just being honest with you i think your way off the mark here.

Oh, and on the Palle card tonight Anders Hugger won an UD, although it might not have been deserved. But since I like Hugger, and since I put him down for an UD in the Prediction Contest, I like this result!

No wonder Miranda turned a WBC Elimenator against Froch down after Inkin pulled out this week.

Kessler is too polished for Miranda. No disrespect to Miranda, He is a banger but he doesn't have the ring generalship that Kessler has. Kessler will systematically break him down. I think it will be a late one sided stoppage for Kessler. I am gonna say between round(s) 9-11 Kessler will drop the hammer on Miranda. I may have went with Kessler by TOTALLY one sided dec... but Kessler has something to prove now and unfortunately it's Miranda who's been doing alot of talking.

..and this shows that Kessler want the big ones, the last date I read was the 24 of may.

Hope it will generate a lot of interrest in the US to we could have a Pavlik-Kessler fight later on....

    go Kessler

Are you fucking serious man? I have come to respect your posts and the fact that you box yourself... But did you just say, that had Miranda met Oscar or Tito, P4P he would have beaten them As in if Miranda weighed 154, he would've won?? Man that's some bullshit. Miranda isn't even close to the fighter that Oscar is p4p, and Trinidad either, although Tito's ring rust makes it closer. But seriously, Mayorga losing to those guys proves absolutely nothing in terms of comparing him to Miranda. It's a complete joke for you to suggest otherwise. Mayorga KO'ed Vernon Forrest and fought to a razor thin decision with Cory Spinks at his best. P4P, those feats are above anything Miranda will ever do, mark my words.

Just noticed this thread now actually. Miranda: Kessler is an interesting match up but I feel Kessler would take Miranda apart in the mid to late rounds. Probably a brutal KO there.
