Pacquiao vs. Marquez Weigh-in - ESPN Video
Hurry up Pac! Eat a lot of adobo, bulalo, balut, and tinola.![]()
I bet for a JMM decision, although expecting a very close and exciting fight, I can hardly wait. This time I believe that Pac will not be able to surprise JMM as he did in the first round. It was amazing how after that beat up in the first round JMM could recover as he did and dominated several rounds in a display of his boxing skills.
Puerto Rico, Small Island, Big Champions!!!
If JMM doesn't engage, he might win. I don't think he can survive a man to man non stop slug fest.
Quote:
"I think Marquez will engage Manny in the first few rounds to test if he can take his punches," said Mondejar who flew in from Manila last Thursday night. "Once, Manny starts hurting him, expect Marquez to run like (Marco Antonio) Barrera did. If Marquez stays away, it’ll go 12 rounds with Manny winning the decision. If Marquez stands his ground, Manny will knock him out for sure."
Mondejar was in Pacquiao’s corner in the first meeting against Marquez four years ago.
"Marquez couldn’t walk straight after the fight and couldn’t even move his head because it was so swollen," recalled Mondejar. "He knows what it’s like to get hit by Manny. He’ll keep that in mind in the rematch.

Sheesh, Pacstraighleft! I didn't know that a 'joke vote' would cause such a misunderstanding here. Apparently, most folks here don't read all the posts. Mick was right, it'll come back to my azz! All right folks, read my post on page 6 about the joke vote - that was my b-day gift for my good friend Violent D. I've learned my lesson. I won't pull off that kind of stunt again.
As I've said, my real vote is 'pac T/KO win on the 4th or...' If you want to continue with my assessment of the fight, just read my posts on this thread.

MARQUEZ FACES "TWO FISTED" PACMAN TONIGHT
By Pedro Fernandez, RingTalk.com, Sun, 16 Mar 2008
Las Vegas, NV-Usually when two fighters engage a second time, there is a level of dominance by one man or the other. Rarely is the second time around a “close encounter” of the fistic kind. That being said, the first Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez match was indeed close. Dropped thrice in the... Ring TALK

All right folks, if there's any other guyz who wants to bash pac-fans here, you are welcome to do so and I will just bear 'em with a smile. I've been actually bothered by the thought that there are more guys who don't like pac than the ones who do. So if I could in any way ease your burdens, I'll be glad to oblige. So here, bash your hearts out, don't hold 'em back, let 'em all out, and if I feel that I have eased the burden of fellow saddonians, I'll be mighty glad, and I mean it without any sarcasm here no matter how might feel about it.
I've been here for couple of years trying to help establish some goodwill among all boxing fans especially the ones who don't like pac, trying to 'break the ice' so to speak, with jokes when discussions became too intense and heated, usually turning really ugly. I must admit I have failed miserably, and there is no one to blame except myself. Like many guyz here, I'm starting to feel a little frustration and exasperation, or simply stated - tired. So here, I'm admitting my failure to establish goodwill among fans of various colors (not of course the skin), and maybe it's my time to move on... So if any folks here feel any anger or whatever toward us, just let 'em out and I will take it with humility and graciously.
