I'd be perfect as I am.
And I'd be nicely trained and ready.
I wonder if he's got friends?

I wouldn't be... I lift and do light cardio but a welter would run rings around me... I'm not in horrible shape but if I did land... while turning 225 lbs into the poor chap I'd be over... I fought as an amatuer at 152 and 165. I did well. My opposision was pretty soft im imbarassed to say but I went 67-3. I'd have trouble in my BEST shape trying to hit 201.![]()

I'm working behind a desk myself, It's actually Ok because I'm near my gyms so I can train plenty, but I can definitely see how it could affect me.
Did you fight very frequently or were you boxing over a period of time?
Wanted to rep you back, but the thing just won't let me!!!!!!

Um... somewhat. I mean, when I was fighting I never really kept track of anything but the big HW fights and some other decent stuff... I didn't keep track of the little guys or history.
Over time I kind of grew into it. So, not really a lapse more like I grew into it.

Yeah I understand ya.
For me, I always loved boxing, but all I knew was the best of the sport. As I'm going along now, climbing in the amateur game and training with Young Pro's I'm gaining an appreciation for the top level amateurs as well as the bottom level pros, and the journeymen.

Journeyman hold a special niche in the sport. They are the grisled vets that can give a young pro the work a sparing partner can't. I spared with a few journeyman out of Pawtucket and they, although will never be elite have alot to offer an up and coming fighter... Those little tricks you might not have thought about... Hell, one taught me how to roll my shoulders.

I don't know the Shoulder roll, I'm much more straight forward than that, but I know exactly what you mean.
Those guys can impart an education in every round that they share with a young prospect.
They can also prove an acid test. If a young fighter is just not up to the cut he will be exposed quickly by an expierienced Journey man.
